We find that to be the case all the time on Italian night. We've learned to skip the DR & go to the buffet which has almost the same items plus many others to choose from.

As of right now it can be used for anything that any OBC can be used for. We used ours in Jan at the casino without any problem. If it changes in the future, I'm sure people will make a comment very quickly here on CC.

Especially if you get a few of those large glasses at one of the bars. They hold at least two Princess servings per glass which is more than enough for us at dinner.

If you choose to do that you'll be missing out on some of the better dishes. 😔

Wow. They've haven't had adult comedy shows on Princess in many years now. I'm glad to see them slowly return. Of course they're not for everyone so I hope that some of the closed minded people won't stubble into one of the shows & lodge a complaint. It's not like they didn't warn people many time over what to expect before the shows began.

Very true. My husband always has at least one pair of black jeans in addition to his shorts which will now suffice for any situation. Formal, causal, black & white, dress to impress, tropical, etc.

As with other cold call sales, I'll defer to not acting on their special deals. I seriously doubt if I'll lose out on any "special" discounts if I don't act now. It is interesting that they had all my past Princess information. That still wasn't enough to make me bite. 😆

What you say is quite true but at the same time it's not a true representation of what's been seen on many Princess ships in recent times. The OP wanted an answer of what's happening on the ships today & not what's printed on their website. Yes, there is a discrepancy between the two but at least they now know what's happening in the real world rather then what someone rights up in an advertisement.

I just got my call last night from that outfit. While I've been sort of reading this thread I haven't really paid much attention to the details until now. After telling them I wasn't interested in traveling to other places that included an overnight stay they said I was the first person they've heard of that said that. Also, they had all by details from the Princess web site, like past cruises, days accumulated, FCC's future cruises planned, etc. Either Princess has sold them all of our personal information or the Princess web site has been hacked.

Prizes are pretty much limited to only coasters lately.

But not so much with protecting my information from being hacked. 😕

Not at all. We arrive at 5 PM sharp and it always takes us 1 1/2 hours also. Maybe if we ate less it would be quicker. ☺️

I don't see how my not wanting towel animals ruins your enjoyment. If anything it gives the cabin steward more time to spend in your cabin roiling them if that's what makes you happy. I hope you reward them for the extra effort.

Is it normally crowded on a port day? I don't want to totally embarrass myself.

Unless they're identical every night, we'll be back to the same old DR arguments and they won't have solved a thing.

Why bother to have the cabin steward waste time making towel animals unless you're travelling with kids?

People who pay for those extra perks certainly should get to enjoy them but what about denying those who have paid the basic fare and then get denied entrance to the DR because of the style of their clothing? Your argument then falls apart. Thankfully Princess now allows everyone to enjoy the same food regardless of dress choice.

Thanks. I never saw them. It's a strange place to leave books and unless you were just looking around the ship for the first time, you would never know.

As far as I know there is not a library on the Enchanted Princess. I also didn't see any place where they could leave board games, books or such.

I doubt here are a handful of people (probably live close by the port) that could actually predict a time slot when they'll arrive.
