  1. That's good to hear. It sound like Princess may soon be returning to self service on other ships as well. It's frustrating having to stand there & be served each item, especially when their shorthanded.
  2. That's similar to the table for 2 we always sit at except that you can arrive when you want.
  3. I just checked our area for the CVS test and it still appears to still be free. They'll bill my insurance company and it doesn't appear that I'll have to pay anything (similar to last March)
  4. Then I guess it's not for you since you enjoy chatting with others on the boat.
  5. We quickly learn which tables allot more space. Unfortunately many people intrepid the lack of space as an invitation to not only say hello but to continue a conversation during the whole meal. Why do they go to the trouble to select a table for 2 and then want to talk to others during the meal is puzzling. Sit at a large table & talk to everyone.
  6. Because they greeted us at the door just like all the other people, the head waiter was there to make sure we got our "special order" and that everything was correct and to our liking, a maitre d whos just joined the ship recognized us & stopped by to say hello. If anyone would have had any problem with my husband's dress you would have thought someone out of the group would have said something. Things have definitely changed recently.
  7. Not at all but we did manage to fine lots of new friends.
  8. When you break it down like that, it sounds better.
  9. They've added many more sensors lately as I can tell, making it much more accurate for the crew to find people that order food and drinks. One afternoon I ordered dessert when sitting at the aft bar location & left my medallion with my husband while I went to the bathroom. The crew member still found my seat although he did have to ask my husband if it was the correct spot. I suppose he could tell by the last name being the same.
  10. I was wondering where that website came from. On our last cruise my husband who normally wears dress pants with his guayabera or polo shirt tested them by wearing his jeans with his Polo on a formal night. No one blinked an eye.
  11. Well, not completely, but it does put a cap on it for sure.
  12. I've seen you post that before and still don't quite believe it. But if it's true, than they surly must have lost money (or at least broke even with my husband & myself last cruise). 🤩 Between practically reaching the max of 15 drinks almost every day , we both ordered cappuccino's & so many waters I lost count.
  13. True. Many people can't justify the package when they only drink 3 or 4 drinks daily.
  14. If they sold the package to only 1 person in a cabin I'd venture to say they wouldn't sell near as many packages since most people never come near the 15 drink max allotment.
  15. While the medallion app does work on the ships the WhatsApp app is by far a better choice as you say. As long as the other people you're contacting have unlimited internet it's the only way to go. 😁 ✔️ I did us the location feature many times & it worked flawlessly on the Enchanted for all areas. They've added many more sensors compared to a few years ago on other ships so that the crew can find people for deliveries.
  16. The formal nights on Princess have been very much relaxed since the return from the Covid shutdown, especially in the Caribbean. What you describe is just fine. Jackets and ties are still on option for those that like them for photo's but aren't at all necessary. The women have always had the opportunity to wear just about anything & call it formal.
  17. It now forces people like myself who actually want one of those cabin to have to continually check to see if they've been released once again. 😠 We're doing a B2B and prefer not moving if at all possible.
  18. On the newer designs it's hard to see much of the cabin balconies but the on the older Regal & Royal it practically gives people a partial view into the cabin.
  19. There are tables for 2 and then there are tables for 2 if you know what I mean. Talk to the head waiter when you know the number you want & they most times let you sit there for the whole cruise.
  20. You've go that right. It's like saying that unless you pay them they'll have no incentive to perform their job.
  21. Exactly. That's why you should get to dinner early and let the latecomers line up and wait. 😁
  22. We though it was OK but I believe it's not in operation right now as they don't have the crew available to operate it. If you're not a big eater, you can pay just for one person & split the meal.
  23. Just be aware that those charging ports by the bedside are no where's as quick as your AC charger. They're OK for overnight but if you want a quick charge during the day it'll be a wait.
  24. The only problem with eliminating the "you made the difference cards" is that any crew recommendations are now incorporated into the survey as I see it and I no longer wish to participate in filling out their 15 to 20 minute surveys. There isn't any quick way to just give a quick recommendation otherwise, is there?
