What you posted is very true and although the number of drinks is relatively high they know that most people won't be able to consume that much, especially on a port day. There's lots of profit to be made no matter how much you think you can drink.

No champagne any longer. It's only a coaster or sometimes a notebook. Times are tough.

Princess ships aren't set up that way.

There are just to many newer Princess ships sailing to be bothered with an older ship, all of which don't have any of the CB's problems.

So in effect if I see any shops advertising Medallion pay as a come on, I can almost expect a 30% discount at other competing merchants. Good to know.

Most likely are people from the UK. I believe that there more likely to follow any rules or suggestions set by the cruise like for fear of being criticized by other passengers.

I doubt if they've reached it yet. They just don' like to increase it to much, to often. As people come to accept the newer price they'll raise it once more. It's like the proverbial frog.

The same thing happened to us on the CB in 2018 and after numerous tries to fix it, couldn't. After 3 days they finally gave us another cabin. Between that and a terrible buffet we now avoid the CB at all costs, especially when a Royal class ship is available. Keep trying.

It is interesting to read about what some folks deem as necessary on a cruise. So far I haven't read about anything yet I can't live without. 😉

The time we've attended there was always a tip line on the check. Of course you're not obligated to give extra.

There's a reason why a cruise on the CB is offered at that price. Glad you were satisfied. There are other ships in the same class as the CB that are priced similarly.

I will say that that the lamb chops that they serve at Specialty restaurants are definitely a step above the ones served at their buffet. Still not worth $40 plus tip.

We sailed on the CB in 2018 and had lousy AC in our cabin, It took them 4 days of trying to fix the situation and then finally changed our cabin. The buffet food was terrible so we resorted to eating in the DR whenever it was open, which was consistently good. After sailing on Royal class ships since then I would never return to the CB at any price. Why would anyone consider that ship when there are much better alternatives to choose from? I suppose if it stopped ports you just had to see then it might be a possibility but just be prepared to adjust your expectations a bit. It's not the greatest of ships compared to the rest of the fleet.

If there were two restaurants at home, both were of equal quality, and one offered a free meal and the second one charged $80 per couple plus gratitude, which one would you choose?

I also have one heck of a problem understanding people with accents..... I though it was only me. 🙄 I think you're right about that one. If only to be able to talk to a person that can speak clearly & is knowledgeably.

We haven't been to one in a very long time but from what I'm reading people always seem to have trouble making reservations. If so, then they'll be increasing the price very shortly. 😁 People always for about the meal in the DR. ( or maybe the eat there after dinner in the Specialty restaurant. ) LOL 😄

Very true, at this time, but they could change their stance at any time leaving you standing at the gate. No use in taking any chances by not selecting your desired slot.

If people are that concerned about catching anything, a cruise ship is probably the worst place you can put yourself aside from a plane flight.

Yea, I read that about the cans but somehow I still think it's not true.

Steaming isn't a top priority for me but it would be great if the internet speed was fast enough for Zoom meetings. It worked on one trip and not another so until they upgrade their system I wouldn't count on it.
