  1. UBD or Ultimate Balcony Dinner. When you get on, you will get a card in your stateroom that you have the UBD and to call RS to set up your date and time. Yes, you do have choices and they will go over the menu with you when you call to reserve. You won’t get anything ahead of the cruise, just check your travel summary that shows you paid for it and print that out for traveling. It was great! So nice. We had 3 servers and a backdrop of Moorea, French Polynesia. Amazing.
  2. Or, use Princess EZCheck, if offered on your airline, and let your bags go to the airport and on to your final destination. You’ll be free to do what you want, no bags.
  3. 1 more… Factual We did 6 caribbean cruises last year, very few tuxedos on any of them. Caribbean cruises are much more casual than the European cruises. That is from experience. DH does a sport coat and dress pants on those. Okay done! Lol
  4. They would have it listed on the excursions for that city. Just don’t look at the debark tours. I have never seen a specific tour for b2b’s.
  5. And the Captain should make an announcement that hand washing is required not recommended. Recommended means nothing to some people. We take Clorox wipes too, but they are rough on the hands. Good for surfaces.
  6. They did to go back to hand washing enforcement on the cruises again. People just walk right by now, since the protocols were dropped. Some ships don’t even have wash stations at the buffet. Noro can even be in the laundry. It’s hard to get rid of it on the ship. Don’t eat the raw vegetables or salad either. Our ship a few years ago and they delayed the embarkation in FLL for several hours due to cleaning and inspections. Good luck! Stay safe on there.
  7. Has anyone contacted the IT team for the App to see if it’s an App error or glitch? You need to tell them multiple guests have had their reservations disappear and have them check. Not just your cruise but all different dates. Call and report it to the App team. or Email them askoceanmedallion@carnival.com You will need to give them your full name, booking no, ship and sail date. Put urgent in the subject field for the guest leaving next week. Or your sail date. Post on here if you get an answer for others.
  8. No, you cannot. Carnival GC’s are only good on Carnival ships.
  9. There’s no deadline to cancel. When you know you’re not going to use it, just go in the App and cancel or change it. Whatever you want to do. Even when you’re OB, you can cancel or change it too.
  10. Yes, I hesitated to post it, because it is on your travel summary for EZAir. But, this is an ENROUTE number due to weather, enroute changes, etc. It will not be good if people enroute can’t get through. Luckily, no major airline issue right now or big weather problems. The number to call is the PCL phone line and pick the option for EZAir. I am happy though that you all did get your problems resolved.
  11. Are you still on hold? Did you ever get your refund? How long did it take while “in progress?” TIA
  12. You might check the threads on the East Coast forum. Lots of good information. Post your question there, also. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/317-east-coast-departures/
  13. Yes, I totally understand, as I was one of those OB during the pause March 2020. The OP doesn’t have this type of FCC. They have one expiring in 2023 due to a positive covid case. I have no idea how they are handling these. Maybe someone with recent experience can chime in.
  14. Very strict about extensions in most cases. If you have a TA/CVP, see if they can help.
  15. Definitely book a DR and change it once OB, if you want to. Very similar MDR’s, same menu. We book the one most convenient to our cabin.
  16. I agree. Maybe someone who has stayed there will answer. Sapphire just came back in service a few months ago.
  17. Were these changed from OV to balconies in one of the drydock?
  18. Heres a pic of C103, not great, but shows the balcony. https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/stateroom-details.php?ship=Sapphire-Princess&cabin=C103
  19. You don’t see the menus on the App until OB, and just the menu for that night. If it’s a 7 night, you can sort of guess the formal nights, but any other is anyone’s guess. Formal usually 1st sea day and any other sea day, but not first or last night. So, that leaves a few days to pick Italian night, usually it was on a Thursday night on our Eastern Caribbean b2b’s. You could go onto a current roll call, if your ship has a sailing right now, with your same itinerary, and ask. Or, just guess, book your SD and change once OB, if need be.
  20. Thank you. That’s what I was afraid of. I’d much rather save that money up front. Especially, if it’s a long cruise. We don’t always want more OBC. That’s more money for PCL that way. Do you recall if it was refundable? It should be. TIA
  21. Those 2 Enchanted cruises shown are enhanced voyages Transatlantic. Yours does not look like an enhanced voyage. So, you would go by the rules for sailing from the EU on the Princess website. Check the countries your visiting also, the cruise health tool and cruise personalizer for any updates. Also, I noticed they listed the Enhanced Voyage in the Princess App wellness check. It directs you to the wellness form and upload of documents required. You might check that too. Check with your roll call and your TA/CVP.
  22. You might check with the IT team for the App to see if it’s a glitch, or not. askoceanmedallion@carnival.com or call in tmrw morning after 6 am PT and select the option to speak to the App team for getting OceanReady.
  23. Off topic, but…5 per person, per month. Hypothetically. 😆
