  1. Thank you for those suggestions! We arrive two days before our cruise begins and definitely see more activities that I want to do than I have time for. Also having a tough decision deciding between the sky lagoon or the blue lagoon.
  2. We are booked at Hotel Borg for the two nights before our cruise next August. Reviews seem to be consistently good, appears to be in a great location, and is affordable for what you get.
  3. My partner and I, along with some friends did Alaska in 2019 on NCL and didn't have any issues. We did the friends of Dorothy meet up the first night and spoke throughout the cruise and stay connected through Facebook. Our group of friends has a cruise booked for Iceland on NCL next summer. We did have the Celebrity pride sailing booked for 2020 on the Apex. I was really bummed that one ended up getting canceled because of the pandemic.
  4. definitely a bucket list destination, but I like the kitty cat photo! 😺
  5. Love your review and seems like you had a great vacation and enjoyed the ship. I am actually looking forward to the price is right more than the donna summer show.
  6. That's what I've been debating. it's such a beautiful looking port, but Troll road is a desire I have too. It's going to come down to which one is more of a priority probably.
  7. Lovely review! Best part - the jets for the thermal spa are on back order. lol. I was seriously disappointed when I read about the lack of jets in the pools. 269 more days unit I sail.
  8. Rather disappointed with this.I will keep a lookout to see how Celebrity cruises fare and check back with NCL.
  9. I would love to do Iceland by land, however; Iceland and Norway are on our list, so a cruise was most convenient. We are booked on Norwegian Prima next year for an 10 day cruise starting in Reykjavik (with two days prior to start of cruise), two stops in Iceland, 3 in Norway, Amsterdam, Brussels, and ending in Southhampton. We will probably add two days on at the end in London. We have too many destinations we want to see, so cruising is usually our go to.
  10. Safe travels and absolutely following along. My trip choice is next year to Iceland/Norway and my partner has picked Africa for his pick next.
  11. Not true. I just recently extended my 2023 booking.
  12. We have this stop next summer for about 11 hours. The excursion for the Troll Road… is it worth it? Would there be enough time to do that and Mt. Aksla?
  13. There are definitely some horror stories out there. I am flying from Philadelphia to Reykjavik and London to Philadelphia next August with the air promo. I extended the trip by two days on both ends, so hoping that will help.
  14. They may add the 3 point per night offer on to the current promo.
  15. I have gotten pretty decent deals through their Veterans Day Sale (odd) and their Black Friday / Cyber Monday sales, all approaching. Good luck.
  16. The MDR's look stunning! The menus are more impressive than I was expecting. We have a 10 day cruise next year, so I think we will have a good balance of specialty and MDR meals. Thank you for such detailed photos.
  17. Loving this review so far! Im glad there's not much pool space. I'll be on the Iceland/Norway cruise next summer, so I think ocean blvd is perfect! Can't wait.
  18. The options for speciality dining look enticing, but this may make me wait to purchase a dining package.
  19. Picture perfect fall day in the NY area today.Wonderful pictures. Thank you for getting some good ones from the spa. Am I mistaken or did I misread, I thought covid testing wasn't required anymore? Possibly because of the Bermuda destination. Enjoy the ship and Bermuda (and not going to Norfolk).
  20. I am subscribed to this podcast. Its always good. Positive review mostly... I'm now I need to add on a dining package to my 2 meal promo for the specialty restaurants.
  21. Since we have our air booked with NCL, we can extend the beginning and end of our trip by 2 days each. I’m thinking about doing the golden circle and then blue or sky lagoon the other day. I’m hoping this gives us enough of a taste of Iceland, along with our other two port stops in Iceland.
  22. Love the observations thus far. Have you had a visit to the thermal spa?
  23. I am on this itinerary for August 2023. My last cruise was Alaska on NCL. I would like a Norway only cruise, but Iceland is a must do for me and this seemed like the best bang for the itinerary. plus with NCL from Alaska… they have an absolute awesome observation lounge that made the trip for gazing out into the scenery. We also had thermal spa passes which was the best. They have the awesome glass views while lounging on heated tile loungers. It was heaven!!! Really looking forward to this itinerary on the Prima.
