  1. FYI to all, This Roll Call title had to be edited. This is due to the following portion of How To: Create A New Roll Call: In the Title Box, type the name of your ship, your sail date and year. When you create a new ROLL CALL topic, you MUST include the sail date in the subject line, and here's the suggested format: Example: January 1, 2016 Please note the suggested date format with the month first and spelled out completely will ensure your new Roll Call topic appear in search results Hope this will be helpful! Happy sails, Host Kat
  2. Hello everyone! There were two Roll Call threads for this line, ship and sail date. The threads have been merged into this one Roll Call thread. Per the Cruise Critic software, all posts now appear in post date/time order on this newly merged thread. Please read back through this thread to make sure you have not missed any of the posts so far. Anyone that used the Follow feature on the OTHER Roll Call thread for this sail date may need to do the same on THIS newly merged Roll Call thread. That way you will not have to go looking to see if there are new posts on this merged thread because they will all come looking for you as notifications! If you need info on how to do it, please see How to: Follow Topics & Forums (Subscribed Threads/Forums Info). And don't forget, after your cruise be sure to submit your review for publication by Cruise Critic. Many cruisers will benefit from your experience! Make YOUR voice heard. Your honest cruise review will influence next year's Cruisers' Choice award winners and help others choose the right sailing. See How To: Submit a Member Review. I hope this will be helpful and glad to have everyone aboard Cruise Critic! Happy sails, Host Kat
  3. @buttmwcm Thank you for your new topic on the Cruise Blogs & Websites forum! However, it is off-topic there since the forum is for our members to post links to their personal travelogue-type of cruise-related blogs or websites. To help you out, your new thread has been moved to the Norwegian Cruise Line forum where it will be on topic. The majority of your fellow Cruise Critic members that have sailed NCL frequent this forum and provide feedback here. Browse through the thread titles on this forum looking for threads of interest. You will probably find your fellow Cruise Critic members have already posted questions and received answers that may be of interest to you. The Cruise Critic website and message boards are a great resource for new as well as experienced cruisers and we are so glad you found us again! Please feel free to browse the Cruise Critic Community categories list for the various message board forums. Read a few threads in the different forums to get a feel for what each forum is about. Make sure you read any pinned threads (aka Stickies) on the top of the first page of threads in most forums. You will find very important instructions or information there. I also want to let you know about the Cruise Critic Roll Call thread for your specific line, ship and departure date. It is where you would post along with other Cruise Critic members sailing with you. It will be the ONLY place on the Cruise Critic message boards where you and your fellow Roll Call thread members are allowed to post personal ads about sharing private tours, excursions or transportation with each other to save money. There is a "captive audience" there since you are all sailing together! Your fellow Roll Call thread members may post important information in your Roll Call thread. Especially those that have sailed your line, ship or itinerary before. Someone there may be having the same problem as you with the NCL system. Be sure to find & post on the Roll Call thread for your cruise departure date if it has been created. If not, create it yourself! For information about our Roll Calls, please read What is a Roll Call? Everything you Need to Know and How To: Create A New Roll Call. For more information about our famous Roll Calls, please read the Roll Calls and Our Policy Regarding Facebook and Roll Calls sections in the Guidelines we all agreed to follow when registering for our free Cruise Critic memberships. 4. @Ah2302 Thank you for your new topic on the Ask a Cruise Question forum! However, it is the forum for general questions regarding cruising. Your inquiry concerns Italy and is off topic there. To help you out I have moved your new topic to the Ports of Call - Europe - Eastern & Western - Italy Ports forum where it will be on topic. The majority of your fellow Cruise Critic members that have been there frequent this forum and provide feedback here. Browse through the thread titles on this forum looking for threads of interest. 5. FYI to all reading this thread, This is a friendly reminder regarding the title of this thread, "Post CRUISE LINE Single Supplement/Solo Bargains HERE". The topic is bargains offered by the CRUISE LINES only... NOT travel agents/agencies (online, brick & mortar, big box, etc.), promoters of hosted group cruises for singles/solos or any other source/venue for cruise purchase. Perhaps a copy/paste of the first post by cruisinryan on the previous thread with the same title will be helpful: A thread for single supplement/solo bargains is very helpful for solo cruisers. 🙂 There used to be one, but it disappeared 😕 ...maybe it got too big. So let's start another one and see what happens. 😄 Post all those great deals everyone! 😄 But remember, you can't mention specific travel agencies, just general info like: "Cruise line .... currently has good prices for solo occupancy on .... sailing". Note the above states general info for cruise line, ship name and sail date are all that has been requested. Please feel free to add the itinerary. And yes, there will be times where there will be the need for additional posts requesting & receiving clarification about a previous bargain posted in this thread. However, please be considerate of your fellow Cruise Critic members. Posting off-topic chit chat within a thread (aka hijacking) is boring to some readers and wastes their time. Especially for the 201 members Following this thread at this time. They only want to know about the latest CRUISE LINE single supplement bargains. I sincerely hope this will be helpful to all and thanks in advance for everyone's cooperation. Happy sails, Host Kat

  9. @edinburgher In the olden days when the Cruise Critic message board used vBulletin software, a member could click on User CP or Quick Links then Edit Profile to set their Time Zone and then click the Save Changes button. They would then see all post times based on their zone. Now that the software was changed to Invision Community in October 2018, it is no longer something a member can set on their account. I suggest you send an email to community@cruisecritic.com to ask how post times are handled now by the Invision Community software. Please send the email from your Cruise Critic email address of record and be sure to mention your Cruise Critic user name. This is so your membership can be verified, and reply sent to your Cruise Critic email address of record. If your current Cruise Critic email address of record is not correct and needs to be updated before you send your email, please see the following: How To: Update your Cruise Critic Email Address Hope this information (and little history lesson from Memory Lane 😀) will be helpful! Happy sails, Host Kat

  11. Most cruise lines do not have wheelchairs for guests to use during cruises. You will need to rent one for the duration of your cruise. Here is an oldie but goodie Cruise Critic article last updated January 15, 2019 that may be helpful: How to Rent a Scooter or Wheelchair for Your Cruise Also, you may want to check out our Disabled Cruise Travel forum. 21. Hello @bfamily9 Your thread has been moved to the Need Help Using the Forums? Check Here! forum where it will be on topic. @auntmeg is referring to their search using the Roll Call Finder Tool located at the top of the first page of most ROLL CALLS forums. Here is a clip of the one on the top of the All Other River Cruise Roll Calls forum: The key for the search to work correctly is that the thread title must contain the month. And the year is most helpful for when a member is looking for their specific cruise. This is explained in How To: Create A New Roll Call. Please note the following portion: In the Title Box, type the name of your ship, your sail date and year. When you create a new ROLL CALL topic, you MUST include the sail date in the subject line, and here's the suggested format: Example: January 1, 2016 Please note the suggested date format with the month first and spelled out completely will ensure your new Roll Call topic appear in search results Hope this will be helpful and glad to have you aboard Cruise Critic!
