  1. I would do the same but people complain they can’t get it for free or don’t have time. Generally it’s people that have said they are retired. Try jamming that into an 11 hour work day and I’ve managed to do it even one day before on top of it. I’m amazed at the criticizing of the op.
  2. I’d love to know what “above and beyond is”. The very little time I sit in a bar I’m usually at the bar. They mix my drink and set in on the bar. In my mind that doesn’t even warrant 18 percent. It definitely doesn’t warrant extra.
  3. Exactly! It’s funny that way. I work for a very green company yet we have bottled water in the fridge, coffee pods in the kitchen and paid parking, none of which I take part in. We have filtered water that is just great. It has been brought to their attention (where I work) because it’s a little hypocritical. They are very open to change so I’m not telling any tales but it’s a little odd. Waste is waste. The cracker thing is so stupid. They don’t need to be individually wrapped. Mine aren’t at home.
  4. One of the posters you quoted said they look into club orange instead of the ocean. Not sure what the attraction is. See your post 72
  5. Thanks for the information. I guess the westerdam is the testerdam. I've haven't signed a slip for many years. I feel the 18% is adequate but I don't tend to hang out in the bars so maybe I'd feel different.
  6. And that's what I would expect people to do is to look out at the sea. I've spent a fair amount of time in club orange and not once have I seen people staring into club orange. I would think there would be a lot more of that in the MDR where every seat is not a window seat.
  7. Unfortunately sometimes it’s not that easy. I get an error message pretty much every time. I call because I can’t see anything. They ask if I’m Canadian and I reply yes. It’s some hidden field that they have to correct.
  8. Exactly they are throw away slippers. Why would they supply something expensive? They do the trick for a cruise. I’d bring my own if I was the least bit fussy.
  9. I really don't have any problems with the statements in navigator. They don't show pre-purchases because it make no sense to show that. You do get credit for that before someone misunderstands.
  10. The koningsdam REALLY struggles with this. I was constantly at the front desk trying to get this resolved in March.
  11. I was able to add the hia to my private fare. I think I paid around $50 usd per day but it was all mixed in with pricing so it hard to tell. Like the op I’m not a big drinker but it’s nice to not worry if I do want a drink.
  12. That is great news for those that are booked on that ship. I really doubted it would happen so I’m happy to be wrong on this.
  13. I mentioned the long waits in a thread this weekend and got told by two people they never have to wait more than 5 minutes 🙄. Clearly you need the number they are using.
  14. I think they have them in the vista suites maybe. I’ve never seen a pair in a balcony room.
  15. I think you are very, very lucky. They used to do something minute before Covid now forget it.
  16. A guarantee for what? Hal was giving me a hard time about adjusting the price on a fully refundable fare BEFORE final which is ridiculous. You might as well try. You've got nothing to lose.
  17. I don’t like to get the retreat cabana guys to do things I can easily do but that’s entirely my choice. On the koningsdam the crows nest bar didn’t open until 3 pm. That was in March. I don’t know if other ships are different.
  18. I’m not sure I understand your post. I see debits and credits online?
  19. I hope there will be news soon for those that have a cruise planned soon.
  20. I thought I’d heard someone say that but this carnival press release says the 14th https://www.carnivalcorporation.com/news-releases/news-release-details/city-rotterdam-extends-charter-holland-america-line-ship-through#:~:text=Seattle%2C Wash.%2C May 12,2022%2C to house Ukrainian families.
