  1. I don’t understand how fax is more secure than email. I don’t even have a landline at work anymore, never mind a fax. It’s a hassle to drive to a place to fax it. I can email from home.
  2. Do you mean without paying for them? Thanks.
  3. I agree. I try to prebook as little as possible ahead because I get tired of fighting to get what is owed to me.
  4. I find it's usually rough the last night. I've done the 7 day cruise a ton of times.
  5. I agree. I can't eat strawberries. Last time on the koningsdam the front desk sent a plate of them to me. I left a note for my cabin steward to say she was welcome to eat them if possible as I never touched them. You never know if people can't use certain things so obc is perfect to me
  6. I make a point of not looking at houses, people that are randomly walking by etc. I’m struggling with knee problems and I’m in a lot of pain even though I put on a lot of steps daily. In the last week I’ve been called slow and someone decided to mimic the way I walk when I first get up and struggle to get going. When people do things like that it’s a wonder they don’t ring your doorbell and ask for a tour 🙄.
  7. I find it so odd that people would rather look into a stateroom than the beautiful sea.
  8. Thank you for confirmation on that. I thought I’d heard that multiple times that people were left in their rooms but I was starting to doubt my memory. I hope you are feeling better.
  9. I’ve seen distressed jeans in the mdr on dressy nights. There are very few things that hal won’t allow.
  10. This is a good way to use up some obc. I never think of it so this thread is a good reminder.
  11. It probably works better on rci. Although it’s been a few years I think it’s common on other cruise lines to not be able to access your room until I little later. I’m speaking of Princess and celebrity.
  12. It’s my recollection that that salad has been on the list for a long time too so you think they would know. I almost always get Caesar so I’ve never had to deal with that. That said I usually ask for it on what we call field greens where I live, but I point to it. They do always try to put chicken in it which I don’t want.
  13. Actually people are reporting it’s no longer on the boarding pass lately. It makes me think something is up. I’ve done a ton of 7 day cruises. All had 2 gala, dressy whatever you want to call it. I had an interesting thing come up on my phone feed. Apparently there was a thread of cruise clothing that was on Reddit. Someone posted that they wore shorts to the mdr and they were steamed that they couldn’t gain entrance. Yet another person come in their pj’s, same thing miffed because they couldn’t gain entrance to the mdr 🙄. The article didn’t mention the cruise line.
  14. That is amazing to me that they don’t know where food they have everyday is. I could see it if you asked your room steward where it was. Thanks to those that pointed out the correct location for the bread pudding.
  15. I don’t remember ANY canadians complaining like a few Americans do on this board. I’m talking when we had to test within one day of flying. Please share links to those that did complain. I’ll be more than happy to say I’m wrong 🙄. My guess is that there will be crickets chirping.
  16. I could easily be thinking of other desserts that were with the ice cream. I remember a lady clawing at the plexiglass trying to get a dessert from behind it. There was 1 or 2 people in front of her. I’ve never been that hungry or in need of a dessert.
  17. I don’t remember it being that way but you could be right. I don’t eat it but I’ve been known to have no sugar added ice cream on occasion and I was pretty sure it was there. It’s behind the counter wherever it’s located regardless which I think is a good thing. It sounds like some want it at every meal so maybe the op has found it but it’s not available around the clock.
  18. It would be so lovely if I got my cabana at a lower rate. It is expensive. Same with pre purchased dinners. I did manage to get sel de mer booked for less earlier this year than it’s showing now. I’m glad I bought things earlier because the exchange rate sucks right now.
  19. I hear you. I’ve been in the plenty of test situation for every cruise I’ve taken since the start up. It’s not fun especially while you work full time as I know you do as well, and trying to get your ducks in a row. I’m very hopeful that the Canadian regulations will end soon. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say no one here enjoys them either.
  20. One person on this thread said they didn’t have lotion on the koningsdam in spring and was promptly told that it was there in February in Neptune suites. It was there in March 2022 but that doesn’t mean it’s there now. Depends on when “spring” is. I’ve seen next fall mentioned as 2022 a couple days ago so spring is a bit open ended. I just noticed the person said April so it may or may not be there. I’m speaking about the non suite rooms.
  21. That’s good for the Neptune suites but it might be good if someone could check in about the cheap seats (balcony and below). I bring lotion, bar soap and shampoo and conditioner because I am fussy about what I use. My stuff is better quality. I know people believe that everything is the same all over the ship just because it’s in suites. Not necessarily true.
