Your solution - to deviate and select the flights you want - is the perfect solution and something that every guest should do. The cost, if any, if small compared to most cruises and there is no reason to show up tired due to poor flights. Excellent decision - ty for sharing it!
Just that canal was out and so were some ports at the far eastern end of the Med. Its a tough call for Regent...they want to be safe but they also don't want to deviate. Their insurance company has a LOT to do with it.
The Silver Seas expedition ship we were on had more "space" than Regent due to the extremely low passenger capacity (about 207 I think). It goes down as the single most incredible destination we have ever been to in over 150 countries visited.
I agree and I don't think Regent's management should treat people differently just because they are on Regent vs. NCL. However, once you get beyond a certain point of spending, your TA can contact their Account Rep who can move mountains on behalf of a client.
I don't think the Meds ports (or at least most of them) will be affected. Red Sea/Suez are gone as well as Israel/Turkey/Egypt...but the plan is to replace as many ports as possible. But, like anything, subject to change.
VERY glad to hear it. They should bring it back on all ships, not just the WC. Thankfully, there is a lot of open cabins on the 2024 WC so after Regent announces the new route, we might book on.
I just looked in the closet and we have Platinum and Titanium on the bags....I thought I remembered Gold but I could be wrong. Yep, I am wrong. Platinum and up. Sorry for the bad memory.
I have pleather luggage tags (I think) that say GOLD on them and leather tags for PLATINUM and TITANIUM. They came in a grey box. I will see if I can grab a pic.
