  1. Then vote with your wallet. I am still curious if TA's are warning people that ports/itineraries can change at time of booking.
  2. I was asking IF your TA warned you about port changes/removals. If you booked directly with Regent, they are acting as your TA.
  3. Sry sir - I was passing though and didn't realize you were there until I made that post.
  4. Yours should be just after the extensive refit - you should be very happy!
  5. Sounds reasonable to me...but I've seen enough of their inner workings to know when we will get more and when to dig my heels in.
  6. 3 weeks in November of 2025 unless they change it. Voyager has 3 weeks immediately following.
  7. I had a beer in Greenville the other day!
  8. That's a huge positive - ty. It goes a lot further than requiring a new booking.
  9. It should be easy to re-book that cruise using the FCC - call your TA.
  10. If you don't think it will be corrected, don't book. I wouldn't blame you. Voyager goes in right behind Mariner on Nov 26 it looks like....for the same length of time (20 days) so perhaps she is getting the same major workover.
  11. Regent plans to completely redo Mariner...November 5 - 25, 2025. Give or take.
  12. True - but we were speaking of dry dock refurbishments. There are qualified people on board to repair most issues....and do so faster than sailing to a port that has availability and is within reach.
  13. You can possibly re-book it if you are within your final payment window. Have your TA ask.
  14. By "un-refurbished ship" do you mean a ship in need of refurbishment? That could be any ship sailing to be honest. Regent has a date and a list of extensive changes planned for Mariner that should exceed all expectations...except possibly the timing...but there is a lot of lead time required on these things.
  15. They need time to evaluate and address an issue. It's not 1 person making the call, it is a process. I respectfully suggest that the end result has proven to be worth the patience required to get there.
  16. I have roasted Regent before and I am sure I will again. See my recent post on the "other" page where I shared my thoughts about a GM who was too busy or "unavailable" to meet with a guest. I don't expect Regent to tell a guest everything...I wouldn't if I made that call....but I do expect them to make it right in the end...and like you, I have always seen them do so.
  17. I would be happy if they could change the oil without destroying your car and charging you for work they didn't do. As I am sure you know, I was referring to the lead time required to schedule. Regent can't just ring up a shipyard and ask if they can bring the Mariner in Tuesday morning at 8AM.
  18. Covid changed a lot of plans but Mariner is going to get a very extensive refit when she goes in...and other things are in the works.
  19. Dry docks are scheduled years in advance. It's not like taking your car to Jiffy Lube.
  20. As I have been saying for years...Regent does the right thing in the end. Sometimes, you just need to be patient and let the situation play out.
  21. Because there are contracts and Regent has to uphold their end of the contract. There is no sure thing in cruising...especially not on a new ship.
