You, or your TA, should call into Regent and see if they will extend the offer to both couples. Be proactive to maximize your chances of getting it. You can also take the savings and book a private car for 4 at key ports if you don't get excursions.

You should get the same suite or higher - details would be in the email or could be obtained from your TA. You (or they) could also enquire about the excursions. I am assuming there is no fee for the swap - they are considering the extra days as compensation? Any OBC offered?

I agree. I am probably in the minority in that I regularly sail on many other lines. Sometimes I want a quiet trip and other times I want a floating party.

The wine offered on a given night is something they have a lot of. There are probably 20 choices available for reds at no charge. My gf has a little wine tasting at a bar on day 1 or 2 to sample what is available then she knows what to order at dinner.

Keep in mind we are seeing this across all cruise lines...not just Regent. The grass is not greener elsewhere.

We all know they (and every other cruise line) are cutting costs to survive debt refinancing in the current environment. They have admitted as much in SEC filings. We can't really change their minds either aside from giving them some feedback on this survey. I figured I could either give them some info or no info so I filled it out. They will do what they decide to do and I will decide what to do when they make their move....but there is not much that we can do until then. I believe that Regent is concerned about taking the hit for high levels of customer dissatisfaction with airline flights....and increased costs associated with these complaints. I do not think they have decided anything at this point but are simply soliciting feedback with a poorly written survey.

None that are required. Keep backups on phones for safety. Also, the wines offered at meals are not the best available for no cost. Simply ask for the list and select something better.

I don't understand it either. It makes sense if done in conjunction with a tip/mention on the survey. We often go shopping for the crew if they can't get off the ship and need something or we meet up with them ashore and buy them a round or two of drinks.

There is zero pressure to tip an additional amount. The fact that some people do doesn't mean others need to. Tipping is neither required, suggested nor prohibited. I just look at it like a restaurant that already has the service charge included in the bill...I will tip extra as I know I will be back there in the future and I want them to do well...but no one expects it.
