Always book Regent Air, always Deviate at max time frame, always arrive at least 1 day early if overseas and always take a direct flight if possible. You can travel/return up to 30 days from the cruise dates...roll in an additional vacation.
Yes but the poster I was quoting said he was on Splendor which does not have Starlink operational yet. Mariner is running about 1 MBPS and Grandeur is running about 4 MBPS as of this week.
I don't know that answer. I did pull the schedule though and I don't see a day that Explorer is in port alone...

Correct - there is no high-speed option. There is an option for "streaming" but all that does is prioritizes your request for data and pushes everyone else to the back of the line.
Thank you! I am getting reports from Mariner and Grandeur and they are both running 3-4 MBS. It is much better than what it was before but not as fast as RCC (they were 30 - 40 MBS) a few months ago when I tested. Still....steps in the right direction!!!
The automated gangway in Miami is Port property. Port personal will come to the end of it, where it meets the ship, to assist guests. I have seen this happen multiple times including quite recently.
It all depends on what cruise line and if they actually follow the policy of not. Even Regent has departmental policies for tipping but they are generally not followed. We have friends on RCC who do not pool tips and one friend makes over $100K a year as a bartender....mostly tips. She left Regent to go there.
