  1. The Princess web site says "Request the same time each night if you prefer the same waitstaff." This can only be done after boarding?
  2. I saw a recent menu for the Tuscan Lunch where the upcharge is $60 p.p. I also read that the upcharge for the Tuscan Dinner was also $60, but this hardly seems likely. Can anyone clarify? Any additional info on these is welcome.
  3. I get the impression from this forum that Southampton embarkation facilities are superior to Brooklyn's, yet I've never heard of passengers having to wait outside at the latter (perhaps COVID excepted). Am I wrong here?
  4. An excellent result, but do we know for a fact that earlier passengers fared worse?
  5. Guadeloupe unpopular because of limited excursions? Let's check the statistics. Aruba, 69 sq. mi., 22 excursions offered. Bonaire, 111 sq. mi., 20 excursions. Guadeloupe, 629 sq. mi., 9 excursions. Seems to be true! The apparent conclusion is to stop going instead of developing additional excursions.
  6. Thanks for the responses. I see that shore excursions are on the thin side there. I can't understand this, because Guadeloupe has loads to offer and gets quite a few cruise ships. Someone is missing the boat (sorry) here.
  7. Apologies if this has already been addresses, but for the 2023-2024 season, Princess has the following calls on Guadeloupe: Island Princess 12/25, Caribbean Princess 1/3, Emerald Princess 2/25 and Ruby Princess 3/13. For the 2024-2025 season, there are none. Is there a reason?
  8. Let's see... Dominca? No. Grenada? No. Martinique? No. Guadeloupe? No. For the southern Caribbean, it the same tired ports we've been stuck with for years. Hopefully bluemarble's information was preliminary.
  9. I'm not grasping the concept of no airport check in. Carry on luggage only?
  10. Unless you're not checking luggage (unlikely after a Cunard voyage) or don't have a seat assignment, is there any benefit from checking in on line?
  11. Not sure I follow you. What are you saying will happen in Port Canaveral?
  12. Interesting. Can someone confirm QV will not have to zero out in Ft. Lauderdale? I get that logically it shouldn't, but I've never seen logic in the zero out policy to begin with.
  13. I wear jeans every day at home (unless it's warm enough for shorts). One of the joys of cruising with Cunard is that the jeans stay home.

Post #43 says the gym is on Deck 4.
  15. This question has been asked many times, with responses ranging from "absolutely" to "absolutely not". Let us know how it works out for you.
  16. What time does room service begin on embarkation day?
  17. I thoroughly disagree. It does not "remain to be seen". Cunard operates in the Caribbean today, and dress standards are at least very good, if not better.
  18. Thanks Blue Marble. Of course, General Practitioner is the first thing that comes to mind when I read "GP service", but it never occurred to me that that was what they meant. I can't imagine how this got prioritized. Regarding the daily program, I was going to ask when it was updated. 😖 Leave it to Cunard to implement an app less timely than paper.
  19. Thanks Hattie. It doesn't say so on https://www.cunard.com/en-us/the-cunard-experience/my-voyage, unless that's what they mean by virtual GP service.
  20. This sounds pretty unexciting, except for "our virtual GP service, SeaConsult". Can anyone tell me what that means? I searched the forum and the internet with no result. Also, am I correct that My Voyage doesn't have daily program information?
  21. When is the end of a cruise ever relaxing?
  22. From a US perspective, this is an exciting, positive development.
  23. I can't answer your question directly, but if you were in the US I'd say leave the car at home. The parking charges for 29 days will eat you alive.
