  1. $28-$37 as a 20% service charge on a meal is certainly erroneous! NCL is proud of their food, but a meal being $140-$185 for entree and dessert as you stated is way too high! I really hope you get this worked out-I would’ve gone through the roof!
  2. Please come back and tell us the outcome. This is very odd.
  3. NEVER experienced that. How is it listed on your bill? Did you sign a receipt with each meal or drink? I’m not usually one to make a stink, but I’d dispute that. Especially since you have already paid the daily service charge and the gratuity on the drink package. That is double dipping.
  4. That stinks. We’re doing La Cucina twice. We like it and there are enough things on the menu that we can have 2 completely different meals. Plus most of what you can get a Cagney’s or Bayamo can be replicated (or close) in the Haven. I’m personally not a fan of Le Bistro, 2 bad meals there.
  5. Neither of these currently require testing
  6. We’re on the same cruise in the Haven as well! It looks like the shows are at 7:30 and 10, so plan your specialty restaurant reservations around that. Also, whether in a specialty or the Haven, let your waitstaff know if you need to be finished by a certain time.
  7. The bread and the chocolate dessert. The fried shrimp appetizer is pretty good, too.
  8. My mom is doing it next week. My daughter and I are in a 2 bedroom and she will be next door. “Worth it” is really up to the individual. My mom will only cruise in the Haven, so it is worth it for her.
  9. Got 6 in the GV on the Dawn on a 7 day in March.
  10. Thanks! My question is regarding Great Stirrup Cay. Can you order a bottle there?
  11. You should get a letter with your luggage tags around 30 days out. However, you can always contact the. NorwegianConciergeDesk@ncl.com
  12. I agree, but that Moët menu on GSC looks really nice!
  13. Thanks. Looking for real life experiences, as “dinner” seems to be interpreted differently. And yes, I was asking about the bottles.
  14. I noticed that there are bottles of Moët available at the Moët Bar (duh)! Are these covered under the PPBP?
  15. I’d rather go in a hot tub that was outdoors. Other than that, I probably would not go in the pool those days. I definitely wouldn’t want to go in an indoor pool with the roof closed and AC on when it is 80 degrees and sunny!
  16. Maybe it’s because I’m from FL, but I just don’t understand the appeal of indoor, climate controlled pools. If it’s cold, I’ll go in a hot tub and then curl up in an indoor lounge to relax. If I’m by a pool, I want sunshine and fresh air! We were in the Haven on the Breakaway and that roof was closed the whole time. In the Caribbean. Thankfully we had a large aft suite balcony to lounge on.
  17. I bring my own hair care, but use the provided shower gel. Is L’Occtane now, I think.
  18. Doubtful. I’m sure it will be wonderful. We’re on in a few weeks. I’ve actually heard great things about the Escape and not so great things about the Joy.
  19. If I remember correctly, and I could be wrong, I think they put a hold on your card of a few hundred to ensure your costs are covered. I don’t think a gift card with $100 will be enough, if I am remembering correctly. Leave it as cash for online check in and have each person determine their own payment method when arriving at the port-via their own card or their own cash.
  20. What week are you on? We’re going the week of 12/17 and have had good luck (only been diverted once), so hoping the streak continues! We’re in an ocean Villa as well.
  21. I thought about it, but my daughter would be required to get that too. We’re only doing 1 NCL excursion and we already have 2 specialty dinners. Being in the Haven, we didn’t really want two more. It’s a very good deal, just not for us on this cruise!
  22. I’m the only one over 21 in our room because my hubby can’t make this cruise. So I was able to upgrade only me. I know I like Veuve and am a big water drinker, so it’s definitely worth it. Just looking to expand my drink horizons and try new things.
