Use tracfone -- prepaid -- Motorola Android. Have received texts while on V (Wi-Fi calling on). Was surprised to receive texts, because Tracfone does not work outside of US. I do not know if I could make and receive voice -- didn't try, but will try on next V cruise. Wife has same -- she could make/receive calls in USVI (US Territory) -- but I could not. It worked in San Juan (also US Territory) for both. Go figure.

Dr koob, Garry, from most recent world cruise, had a daily blog. He posted a link to it here on CC every day, so one could read it if desired. I believe you would be able to include your link here. Was on Greek Odyssey, Dec 2021. They served Greek wine every night (included, no bev pkg.) I found the Greek dest. menu every night to be exceptionally fine. They also served a Greek buffet lunch one day, which was truly authentic, well prepared, very delicious, with a multitude of cheeses, salads, entrees and deserts. Also individually prepared sauteed shrimp at aft station. Hope you get to experience that lunch.

1st O Regatta, inside, 2016. Terrific cabin steward supplied, and supplied, and supplied us with white, every couple days, whether needed or not. We brought a lot home and still have some. Just love the fragrance. Wife just used some lotion, still fresh like new. Such a long lasting fragrance, the bedroom smelled great for days! Does take you back to that cruise. If I recall, the soap was a round cake.

Will be staying 1st time at Hotel Continental Palacete on Las Ramblas. Old world style hotel. Reasonable rates.

Thank you for posting the terms for non-US ports. Now makes sense that you're entitled to a FCC. Will now re-read my pax tkt contract. Mine ends in a US territory, so it's a different contract.

(From V's terms) If a passenger has a case of COVID-19 or other communicable disease which is confirmed by a medical test and he or she (or any other member of his or her travelling party) is disembarked, refused re-boarding, or quarantined otherwise than on board the vessel as a result... Not a lawyer. I interpret the above to mean if you are quarantined OFF the vessel, not in your cabin, then you are entitled to pro rata refund etc. Your post indicates that V will give you a refund/FCC, and you are quarantined on ship. Or is V being generous to pax? Can someone more knowledgeable than me give interpretive advice on relevant clause?

Check with your bank to find out if their debit card will work in those countries at ATM's and/or with bank tellers. You can then W/D the minimum or what you think you'll need. Also so as not to be surprised later, ask if they charge foreign transaction fees. Caution: Always withdrawal in the foreign currency, not USD. And if using credit cards for purchases, the above advice also applies. Viking does recommend tipping shorex guides and drivers.

For anyone wondering if Viking (or any cruise line) looks at their Cruise Critic Category Board, here is your answer.

Lowest Cabins are V1, V2, then DV's 1-6. Both exactly the same size, in several preferrable/not preferrable areas on ship. See Andy's posts (Heidi13) -- for his very knowledgeable opinion on best/worst areas. DV's have Nespresso unit and get mini bar replenished daily (no gratis alcohol).

Thoroughly enjoyed Chania included tour. Went to "agora" (central market, but closed now, don't know if it relocated for 2 year project) among many other interesting places. You can leave tour and go on your own at end, or anytime, as V has shuttle service to/from port, from downtown. (Let guide know) Be sure to walk through "Leather Row" pedestrian street with many fine goods. Was there in December 2021, off season, but a bustling city. Did not go to palace, so can't speak to that.

Used it once. Sent email Monday, agent called me Tuesday. The auto-reply allows V to forward request to proper dept./agent. Agent was excellent and very responsive to my request. Told me V wants pax to be happy with its product. Glad I found out about it, here on CC.

On V website -- My Trip -- My Viking Journey (MVJ), create your account (if not already completed). Find: Before you Go -- Pre-Travel Requirements -- will open in a new window if on desktop, or will download doc on mobile. It is a multi-page doc -- listing all country specific entry requirements. It was 1st created 10 JUNE 2022, and is updated very, very frequently, so check back often. Upper right hand corner shows date of last update.

Heather was our CD last Dec on Venus. A fine talent, and found her to be very personable, approachable, and conversant with us and other pax.

I have air+. My selected flights appeared a few minutes after on MVJ. Tried upgrade options there. Prices were more than cruise fare. Looked on United app for biz class price -- just my flight, not my res. A lot less than V price. Then looked at my res on "my united" app. Selected upgrade, system said my flight not eligible to upgrade. Called V air+. They gave me a much better price than that of upgrade price on MVJ, and on United flight search. My advice: Call them.

Thanks for posting. Did not receive it. As another poster said, if you are currently booked -- I am -- email promos seem to stop. Can anyone shed some light on this ?

My air+ flights were on MVJ about 5 minutes after V air agent reserved them.
