  1. My air+ flights were on MVJ about 5 minutes after V air agent reserved them.
  2. On MVJ: Onboard experience -- Dining and Beverage -- Silver Spirits Package -- Learn More -- Sample Menu. This will bring up the Living Room Bar Menu. Does not have Wine List. You should be able to print it.
  3. For next booking, my V guest stmt. shows some TA OBC -- amount from Mem Day. Also shows V OBC -- amount from V Mem Day Sale. Those 2 amounts are available on MVJ -- Payments and Cart -- Payment Methods -- to book anything pre-cruise. Amounts not used 7 days prior to departure will be available to use once onboard. The other TA OBC -- $600 per cabin is not listed. Also not listed is TA loyalty OBC. Those amounts will be available once onboard.
  4. My advice:. Pay for air+ to be able to select your preferred airline, routing and times. V most likely has a contract with UA:. I'm booked on UA to Europe for next cruise. It was worth price, for me. The sooner you add air+, the better chance you'll have with getting what you want. Waiting for V to assign flights, may be too late to change. Yes, V must have contract with airlines, but for only x# of seats, and if not, you'll likely pay more. When they sell out their contract, you may have to pay more, and seats may not be desirable.
  5. Paid air+ a couple weeks after booking. I have my flights and seats. Yes, new Viking Air has functionality as post #1 said. Changed flights (myself) to arrive 2 days earlier, and departing from dif city. Only paid $100 pp for deviation.
  6. Sorry, meant multi-city, not ready for prime time.
  7. It is a % of cruise fare, and a dif % on V air. Have learned from other posters on CC, that TA consortiums, due to their high production, can and do, provide to member agencies, OBC and other marketing incentives. On my V invoice, some OBC is listed, but not all of the OBC that is listed on TA invoice.
  8. 2-3 days ago, noticed on MVJ -- Air: Outbound flight time changed. Departure is 10 min later-- and arrival is the same. Today, early a.m., received V revised flight itinerary, forwarded from TA. Very prompt notification, as TA received it from V overnight. Didn't get your MVJ message this time. On last V cruise, December 2021, received your MVJ message, and called straight away. Entire outbound flight itin was cxl'd and V re-booked on dif airline and dif city -- much longer day of travel. We rolled with it, as it was 1st cruise back after 2 Covid year drought. Was an excellent 1st V cruise!
  9. Tried again today. Used one-way option for both. Results were correct. Perhaps one-way not ready for prime time.
  10. Coincidentally, I tried matrix for 1st time yesterday, as many posters have recommended it. Gave an outrageous, incorrect and higher price (3 times higher) for open jaw flights I'm booked on with UA and AA. (Checked airline sites at same time). Also, entering my actual dates and cities required multiple attempts for program to get it right. This 1st time user will need to be convinced that it is accurate. Prefer Google flights.
  11. On AZ, we had a balcony cabin. Sofa, next to slider door, had a terrible musty, moldy odor. Steward tried air freshener, but to no effect. The problem was the sliding door -- it leaked -- and water came in before our cruise. We had no water come in on our voyage. After alerting guest services, our sofa was replaced, and they dried the carpet. End of odor. So I must assume AZ, and other lines have new furniture onboard, as this occurred on a TA.
  12. For comparison:. "From United States Treasury" : All United States Paper Currency issued from year 1861 to present are legal tender, and accepted at face value. Older currency may, and often has, a higher value as "collectible currency".
  13. We have nonstops EWR/BCN on UA, and SJU/PHL on AA. Air is from V. I think it is dependent on city pairs.
  14. My V air+ rep told me ticketing is about 60 days prior. If a changed is wanted after ticketing, one may incur extra fees. For flexibility, I'm not requesting early ticketing. Since I purchased V air+, I was able to initially select seats. I was able to change to seats later, after checking chart. ( a minor change -- to port side of plane from starboard).
  15. Forgot to say I am going 2 days early -- that's why I paid deviation fee. Don't think I would have had to pay dev. fee if just changing basic routing.
  16. Have learned to bring issues, to the appropriate (lowest level) individual 1st. I prefer to allow ship to solve it while onboard. As Andy said, one can always escalate, if needed.
  17. From PHL to Europe off season, nonstops are very few: LHR, FRA that I know of. To BCN, for nonstop, must use EWR, JFK -- major airports. Due to airline issues this year, I switched to EWR/BCN for nonstop to avoid connection in FRA. Paid deviation fee, thought it was worth it for less travel anxiety.
  18. If something in cabin is out of order, needing maintenance or repair, pax should report it to cabin steward. I Don't think it's complaining. Steward may not have noticed, or not have been aware. I have mentioned such things to steward or guest services occasionally, (on V and other cruiselines), and all requests had been promptly addressed, to my satisfaction.
  19. One does not have to purchase ins. from cruiseline or TA. O policy is ( I think) 10% of fare. (Can someone verify/or correct me?) Advantage is there is no age bracket underwriting, so if you are, for example, 65 and over you would pay the same as a 20-30 something. I use a popular broker (on CC insurance category), and his policies are age bracket underwritten (and also, many policies have higher liability limits than the cruise line and TA recommended policies). Have found it wise to use a travel ins broker, compare policies and prices, and get advice. The policies I have purchased can be the exact dates leaving and returning home (do not have to correspond to cruise embarkation & disembarkation dates. Hope this helps.
  20. Did you try Hotel Continental Palacete?
  21. On 4 O cruises, 3 R, 1 O, pre-covid, all maitre D's were excellent. Never got feeling that they wanted a tip. If I did tip, they were happy and thankful. Particularly remember Toscana Maitre D', on Insignia. When I thanked him after 1st time, and said how fine meal and experienced was, he invited us back any time, just see him for extra res. We did.
  22. Will be there off season, so rates seemed really good.
  23. Was in Lanzarote many years ago, 2008 on AZ TA. Was a replacement port, because original port was in Agadir, Morocco. AZ said they cxl'd it because of a religious ceremony there, that would have animal sacrifices. Ugh. They did not want guests to be there that day. Lanzarote call was a Sunday. Catholic country. Everything, I mean everything was closed, except a small bar at port. Hope your call is not on Sunday. For tours there and in Funchal, (and everywhere), others on CC have suggested: Tours by Locals, Get Your Guide. Easy to find on net.
