  1. it appears to be cabins across from 10143? But maybe those occupants would be door slammers 😆 Our current cabin is more midship than 10121 or 23. I’m sure any cabin will be great, so familiar with M and S class, this is like picking a cabin on a first cruise! S1 is my only option, it was a guarantee and that’s what we were assigned. But I love those after corner on S class ships!
  2. No. Eclipse still has Michaels club as the retreat lounge. No sundeck.
  3. Our first cruise on Edge is coming up later this year! We are currently in 10143, this was a random choice 😆 Are any of the other available ones better in any way? Thanks
  4. What Ship? It depends on the ship and restaurant manager! Last year on Eclipse we were told no, but previously we had been allowed to, the only difference was the restaurant manager.
  5. With the guarantee you will get the Suite Perks and extra points. If you don’t like the cabin assigned and there are others available in the same category, you can change. With Move up the ability to change cabins is hit or miss! We recently upgraded from a sunset veranda to guarantee suite on Edge for our May cruise and have been assigned an S1,
  6. We do land vacations in Hawaii most years and also love the sea days on a Hawaii itinerary. A cruise, especially this itinerary doesn't really IMO really give you the Hawaii experience. If you can spend time after and go to Maui or Kauai, then yes. The whole Na Pali coast full day is a bit odd. I doubt the ship will be close enough for you to see anything and geographically doesn't make sense unless they are just trying fill in the day.
  7. Wouldn’t it be nice to bring more wine, I’d even be willing to pay corkage. $25 is reasonable compared to some restaurants that don’t even use quality stemware. Cheers
  8. If she’s not, Captain Leo is great.
  9. Based on our experience on Eclipse, plan for 3 Chic nights. If there are only 2 just go dressier on another random night 😆
  10. I’m sure X could make it more comfortable for pax but… https://www.seatrade-cruise.com/ports-destinations/new-buenos-aires-check-process-after-storm-damages-cruise-terminal
  11. Tell Jerry the Wilson’s say hello and oooh lala 😃
  12. Is Jerry still the Somm in Luminae? He is one of the better ones, made an effort to find wines we like.
  13. I’ll have to check out Trespass next time we’re in the area. Looks like a great selection of tastings you have planned, although Sattui is an interesting addition with the other more boutique wineries!
  14. If you’re looking for a couple near downtown Napa, WALT does a great Pinot Noir, Robert Craig is also very good. We go to Napa 3-4 times a year, happy to offer any feedback!
  15. We just tasted at Venge last week. Beautiful views, Kirk is a talented winemaker.
  16. The Casino is not port side on EC nor is it on deck 5. Smoking is up one deck near the (port-side) theater entrance.
  17. I meant all ships need a Santos type person who trains the bartenders. he actually won a Diageo competition and one of the drinks on the menu was his creation. X has amazing flair bartenders but not all are true mixologists. Like I said many have moved on..apparently Sudui is one of them.
  18. We last saw him on Solstice in Feb. He was training the bartenders, every ship needs a Santos 😂 Several of our favorite WCB mixologists have moved into management roles or just moved on.
  19. Our only time in a RS we had a bottle of Zacapa XO. $100+ value. Wrapped it carefully and brought it home. We enjoy a nightcap occasionally and fond memories of the cruise 😆
  20. Oops, that is Santos in the picture! But Ralph was one of the mixologists at WCB on Eclipse!
  21. Our experience is they will usually make the previous menu drinks if they have the ingredients and have worked there long enough to know the recipe.
  22. Not very. They have more background music at that hour, if any. When are you cruising? Look for the bar server, Made. He is excellent.
  23. That was the case at one time, but now they pour Brugal rum (non Diageo) when they’re out of Zacapa. WCB used to be our hangout but some of the bartenders are just that…not the well trained mixologists of the past. They used to not go off menu but in our recent experience they will.
  24. The Passport bar is also a good place for a drink, if you time it between the loud music later in the evening!
