  1. I have never had the need to count alcoholic drinks as I never get close. I can assure you that non alcoholic drinks like bottled water and speciality coffees are unlimited and not part of the 15 per day limit.
  2. I assume you have a non refundable deposit. If you find another cruise that includes the island that was cancelled, Celebrity might waive the $100 per person penalty. Of course you will have to pay the prevailing rate. Although Celebrity is not obligated to waive the charge, IMO it is worth the time to try. Be ready to book when you call.
  3. You can select your cruise and get an Air price quote without booking. Put in your desired dates and locations and see if it works.
  4. George, do charters have the same overall benefits as a regular cruise? Drink packages, free speciality dining, etc. Just curious. Thanks.
  5. Just curious, why did you pay for your flights before the final payment for your cruise? Are you just trying to move the a Main Extra seat? Not premium economy, correct?
  6. Are you able to change you seats on AA.com win the same category? Has your ticket been purchased?
  7. Thanks. I always have a drink package, so I had no need. I trade some items for Diet Coke in a can and sparkling water in bottles. The free laundry ( for those not staying in a suite), significant discount for unlimited internet (and additional log in’s), 10% discount (rebate) on shore excursions, and 10% discount for purchases are nice benefits for many people. The Coffee package is of no value to those that have purchased the Plus or Premier package. The dynamics are changing for sure.
  8. The mini bar set up is the Elite Perk. Did the list of Elite perks actually state in writing that the mini bar set up could be traded?
  9. Sure is nuts if changing a browser at home affected the Princess’s representative ability to book a shore excursion for a 2024 cruise. I suspect it is too early to book excursions for a 2024 cruise.
  10. I wonder what will happen to those that have the basic AI with the Classic Drink package and perhaps the eliminated Classic non alcoholic package. N
  11. Customers who get a free or significantly discounted cruise that is cruise only. The AI package is not something that you can purchase “stand alone”. For instance Blue Chip Casino offers. Was the Celebrity Soda package previously only $9 plus gratuity? If a can of soda costs $4 each that seems way under priced. And it was so difficult to enforce the no sharing policy. Princess does still have a soda only package, but it only includes fountain drinks. Princess has now has a similar Zero non alcoholic package. i would not be surprised if Celebrity reconsiders their very liberal policy related to carrying on non alcoholic drinks. In the meantime, enjoy it. Inflation sure has increased costs for both the cruise lines/companies and their customers.
  12. I would suggest you visit the website of the airline that you purchased the ticket. Finn Air in the above example. Look up your reservation and see if it shows you the AA record locator. I am a little surprised that the Airline cannot find and give you that number. Then I suggest you go to AA.com and look up your reservation on the AA.com website using the AA record locator.,(not Finn air). It is worth a try. My memory is a little foggy, but I am fairly certain I have been successful. I am certain I have done it in the other direction when I purchased a ticket on AA.com for,a connecting flight that is operated by a different airline. Good luck.
  13. Does you cabin mate live at the same address as you? Just checking. Are you cruising with a cruise only rate?
  14. Obviously they see no reason to even try a different cruise line. I am still a Suite Celebrity fan. Based on their itineraries, I have cruised on Princess enough to reach the Elite level. I really enjoyed Oceania, so given the right itinerary, I would pick it over Princess.Although I would not hesitate to book a Princess cruise with the right itinerary. When Celebrity eliminated their regular 14 day winter Southern Caribbean cruises, they drove me to try some other lines including Regent. I would much rather cruise in a Royal Suite on Celebrity over a Regent cruise. (I also did not like the fact that shore excursions for ever port was built into the base price.) i would say that Celebrity is trying to push me away with the lack of 14+ day itineraries. I tried a B2B, 4 day with a 10 day on the Silhouette last fall. Just not the same and my wife says never again. I have done a B2B with two seven day cruise, but I did not care for that one either. I have some other cruises lines (like Seaborne or perhaps Viking) to try. My next scheduled cruise is on the Summit from Iceland to Boston. (12 days) with an extra 3 days in Iceland. We have sampled many locations over the years with the French Polynesia being out most frequently non Caribbean visited area. the only negative is that we would have been at the Zenith level if we had only cruised Celebrity, but it has never been our priority.
  15. What Class of cabin do currently have booked? What Class of cabin were you considering? Do you have the AI or cruise only fare?
  16. My offer was made on 10/25 and It was not accepted. I did not really expect to win as there had not been any cabins available in the bid category for a long time. I never viewed it has a two way negotiation. I realize that with the new requirement of a charge card being submitted with the bid, it should avoid any confusion. Although this eliminates the option of paying with a FCC or gift card. You are not suggesting that once Princess accepts the bid, the bid can be modified? Good luck on your future bids.
  17. Are you sure it doesn’t actually say “your credit card will be automatically charged only upon acceptance of your offer by Princess.”
  18. I still think $60 a day plus gratuities is a bargain. I will still be in. It is nice for everyone to have options.
  19. You are so right. I am not sure why anyone would ever purchase just a (alcoholic or non) Beverage package. Just buy the bundled Plus or Premier. For a while Celebrity tried to force people into a “bundled package”, but they brought back the cruise only option. Princess cruisers with either book a cruise only package or one of the two bundles. Actually very smart way for Princess to implement this change. (Better than Celebrity’s disastrous implementation)
  20. True. But Princess’s Beverage package prices historically have been a screaming deal and significantly less expensive than their competitors. Since I booked this January’s Panama Canal cruise early, I only paid $40 a day for the equivalent of the Plus package. Even the current $60 a day is less than most competitors.
  21. It does make the Plus package seem like a great deal.
  22. What category are you considering? Is the $1100 additional for two people? Others have offered some good suggestions.
  23. Princess tried to give you that option, but it was not to be.
  24. You will find out for yourself in March 2025. I have been on two Oceania cruises. The Oceania experience is different depending on the ship category and the category booked. If food quality is your number one priority, I suspect you will be very pleased. My wife and I still prefer the overall Celebrity Retreat experience, but we would not hesitate to booked Oceania again. Although I do not care for their drink package options, their internet, and their Air program.
