  1. You would probably not be sorry, but some Sky Suites are below public area. You might hear some chairs or carts moving around.
  2. I would guess that your last statement is the reason. I would never book a guarantee for an expectations of a “better cabin”. I would rather take the risk with a Move Up offer. As you are also implying I would not cruise without at least the AI. Gty cruise only fares are a good way to sell cabins at a discount without the risk of needing to do price adjustments on the cabins booked earlier. Smart strategy IMO.
  3. Did the Captain Club benefit form state anything about the Martini Bar for either of you?
  4. In the past, I have never had any problem using more than one bag for my 30 items.
  5. I would say that you would need to cancel your paid Specialty restaurants reservations and have the shoreside concierge book your speciality restaurant with no charge. I also believe a RS amenity includes a four device premium internet. You will need to pay a higher rate for gratuities. What is your cruise cabin category? I assume it was a Casino rate?
  6. They are still outstanding even post Covid. I have never cared for Celebrity’s dinner OV. (True on most cruise lines for us) Anyone disappointed in the evening changes should give Oceania a try.
  7. She must be very skilled and patience. I imagine some of the callers from our CC forum are very rude sometimes. Others not at all. Very smart of Celebrity IMO. It is important the people know that at least their complaints are being heard. Change is hard.
  8. My DW feels the same way about Sushi on 5, but we both love Murano’s. (We also enjoy Tuscan). you are a good example that people’s tastes can be very different at any price point.
  9. Good news for you, unless these changes are very recent. On the Silhouette in November we had 1 and 2.
  10. If you win a bid at $200 per person, it will cost you $400 if you win. (Normally)
  11. Or perhaps Celebrity has not figured out what is really happening if it is all system generated. what it says and how it “worked” is not necessarily the same. Just curious if you would have purchased the premium internet without this “deal”?
  12. Congratulations to those of you that have been able to take advance of this situation. Credit to Celebrity as well.
  13. I think the No HH drinks on the day of the CC party is a carry over from when it was in the evening and HH drinks were provided in a single location only.
  14. Or if you available OBC amount goes down after you make a purchase.
  15. Is the Second lobster provided for the extra charge the same quality as the included first one? Or is it a special cold water different type lobster?
  16. Luckybecky, I have never had this situation. I wish you luck and I am curious. The credit card charge from the hotel only is from 2/22. It would appear that you had to pay a non cancellable rate in full six months in advance. Did you pay the $1300 directly to Celebrity? If it was a non cancellable advance payment rate, why din’t you just book it directly with the hotel instead of Celebrity. Does anyone else know if this is a standard Celebrity practice for hotels. I never book hotels with cruise lines, because the rate is always per person and very expensive. I always do better booking direct. I also avoid Advance purchases. Luckybecky, something just does not sound right to me. You may want to pull up you credit card bill from 2/22 and confirm you did an advance purchase with Celebrity and not the hotel or some other third party. Otherwise your position sounds reasonable to me. Celebrity owes you $1300 IMO.
  17. You do realize the AT&T plan is only when in port.
  18. AI is a one device at a time for each person. (Two log ins). Same with the Laundry benefit.
  19. That appears to be the new standard practice from our cruises. (Not that it matters to use as we always have the Premium drink package). I cannot recall the last time they had a senior officers party in the evening.
  20. We did in November on the Silhouette. We did a B2B, 4 day and 10 day in a RS. We received two bottles for each cruise.
  21. I got it, so stupid of me. Thank you for the help.
  22. I see my total OBC for my cruise on the payment page as you say. It lists all the sources for my OBC. But I have been booking and even cancelling some excursions directly with Princess, but it does not reflect a tally of how much I have spend or have left on the payment page. Princess cancelled a port and we were to receive a refund for the excursions. I just want to sort it out before I get on the ship. like you I am booked with a TA. My travel summary on line is very short and does not reflect anything about OBC balances. Could this be because I am using an IPad? Does the OBC reflected on your payment page adjust as you spend? Thank you.
  23. What is a Zero alcohol package”. Do you mean the new Zero Proof Package? It was not in the Classic Package when you purchased the cruise. Perhaps you are getting confused by the terms? some of the items included in the new Zero Proof Package were never included in the Classic Alcoholic package, like the premium water and premium sparkling water. But your package did include the basic bottled water and soda. Is this leading to some confusion? I assume when you say “Celebrity says” you mean something you read on the website? Has someone at Celebrity actually told you that you will no longer have soda and basic bottled water on the Classic Alcoholic package that you purchased. If you are going to spend anything near $440 then upgrade to the Premium Alcoholic Drink Package, then you will have everything included in the new Zero Proof Package in your package. No bait and switch, likely just confused and more confused.
