  1. I was planning on driving to Dallas that same Monday... So glad I changed my plans. I'm heading north now instead and will be in Oregon for June and part of July... Maybe longer, who knows for sure. I'm leaving tomorrow. DW wants a Tesla. I told her we'd look after we got back from OR. I'm skeptical but she is really sold on them.
  2. We travel with two 26" suitcases and two 20" carryons. The carryons go inside the suitcases and both easily fit underneath the bed even with a bundle of extra bedding underneath. We've never had any problem. Question for @StrikeEagle did you try adjusting the bag of linens and blankets to accommodate your cases.
  3. Nightmare!!! @firefly333 I hope things get smoother for you soon... @Ocean Boy Happy birthday Doctor. You're not getting older, you're getting better. 🙂
  4. I'll ask if that is something he got a copy of... My son-in-law is the senior RN at his facility and quite inquisitive... I could see him asking for it.
  5. A couple of times a year, in the last couple of years, they have had quadruple points month for any Royal purchase. The last one was in Nov last year. I bought all my cruise planner stuff for every cruise I had booked and scored a fair number of points. It is just a back up card I use when a vendor doesn't take Amex but it is surprising how much quick I can rack up a couple hundred bucks in OBC.
  6. So my Grandson broke his wrist a couple of weeks back or so ago. He was riding a dirt bike and decided use the small hill leading to the back of the property as a jump. It all ended bad involving a tree stump. The official diagnosis was that he fractured his distal radius and ulna styloid. ****Below is for @Ocean Boy***** Apparently Comminuted is the bad one. Surgery was a week and a half ago and it required pins and plates of some sort... Today he got the cast thing off. His arm is all shriveled up. I warned him that that was what was likely to happen but he was horrified when he actually saw it. He works out and is quite fit. He's quite concerned it's going to stay that way. The doctor assured him once his therapy is complete he can get back to working it in the gym and he will look normal.
  7. I'm on this sailing as well. I'm looking forward to this quick little cruise. The costume parade should be great!!
  8. I love the Bamboo room and it is my go to bar when on Navigator. I'll be back on board in Oct as well. Sadly a little after you get off. Drinks have always been well made there.
  9. I'm certainly not disputing it happens to other people. I'd be hunting for a different agent.
  10. No problem... Just go to guest services and they will swap the keys in whichever way you want.
  11. Yes book private excursions is no problem. There was a brief period after the Covid shutdown that required cruise line only excursions but that is long over.
  12. There is a light breakfast in the morning and appys during HH in the evening. Also, there is a fancy coffee machine you can get Lattes and Cappuccino and such from all day long (no voucher required).
  13. I've never sailed or even booked with Celebrity and just logged in using my Royal credentials and I'm Elite. I didn't expect that. I hit D+ this fall... Assuming that that moves up to Elite+ I will start to look at Celebrity for bookings when the new itineraries come out this November/December.
  14. If you got the dining package the embarkation lunch that comes with The Key is useless to you. With the UDP you'll just go to whichever SR is open and eat there.
  15. I avoid all pools and hot tubs for just this reason. Too many people with too little self control.
  16. I always take OBC. You can use it for any purchase you want in the cruise planner and take advantage of pre cruise sales. If you don't use it pre cruise it will be available on board for any ship board purchases. Ive never done the Upgrade option but it seems way to complicated to me.
  17. Well I wouldn't say that that one was exactly "accidental" LOL
  18. Like Mike said... go into order history and it will be self evident. Here are some screen shots to show you the way. and then...
  19. I've never understood the "I'm on vacation, I want to look like a homeless man" mentality. 🙂
  20. As Mike said, check the app for the current sailing to get a look at the menu. The lunch menu is great and only a couple items short of the full menu. We get the UDP sometimes but when we don't we always book Giovanni's for embarkation day lunch. It is absolutely the most civilized way to be begin a cruise.
  21. If you have the time and money I would definitely do it. My next bump up will be to D+. Part of the reason I booked a 4 day Navigator cruise in October was so I would be D+ for my S2S on Icon and Oasis Nov/Dec. The biggest perk I'm looking forward to is the laundry perk. Between DW and I that is a nice savings. We'll be traveling a total of 15 days the free laundry will be great. The extra drink is nice as well. This will completely eliminate my out of pocket cost for all my beverages. Right now, as diamond we each get 4. DW uses only 2, sometimes 3 so that leaves me with 5 or 6 depending on her consumption. Sometimes that isn't enough and I pay out of pocket. Usually sea days but on a port day where I don't prebook an excursion and just wander off and shop I'll exceed the 6 drinks. Also on private island days as well since the voucher drinks work there too. With my OBC I get from my BOA RC visa covering my daily gratuity my only out of pocket expense while on board will be extra tips to bartenders and contributions to the Royal Caribbean Covid Debt Relief Fund (aka Casino Royale). All that being said, I don't really need an excuse to book a cruise. Truth be told, the biggest reason I booked that short 4 day for the end of Oct. is my Grandson came to me and said... "Papa, you and me should go on cruise all by ourselves." I was sold. That it bumps me to D+ is just an added bonus. I've got my best stretch of cruising coming ever... 1 at the end of Sept, 1 at the end of Oct, 1 at the end of Nov and then side 2 side with early Dec... Then a B2B in March 2025. Book it, you won't regret it 🙂
