  1. I checked and the hotel credit is 180 US$ per person. That’s a total of about €335. For that you can use a company like Rome Cab for a private transfer to the ship plus a significant amount left over that you can use for your additional day at the hotel. In my opinion, the private transfer will be far superior to the Regent bus transfer. Dave
  2. When making reservations online, be sure not to say that you want to share a table. You will be asked if you want to add anyone to your reservation. At this time, say yes and input your friends’ booking number. The four of you will reserve a table. Hope this helps. Dave
  3. The Explorer is the only ship in Seward on August 16. I use cruisetimetables.com. Hope this helps. Dave
  4. Six or seven years ago, friends were able to add us to their dining reservations early. They were on a Dubai to Cape Town and Cape Town to Singapore back to back. We were on the Cape Town to Singapore leg. We were gold or platinum at the time which might have been the reason adding us to the reservation was allowed. I think the simplest thing to do is to wait until you’re making your dining reservations and attempt to add your friends to the reservations. The system will either allow you to add them, or will give you an error message. If you get an error message, I suggest calling Regent to see if they can add your friends over the phone. If that doesn’t work, you can try to add your friends to your reservation when they become eligible to make dining reservations. As a last resort, you can always attempt to add your friends to your reservation after you board the ship. Dave
  5. You can book a table for four from one account. When you get to the reservations section for the restaurants, be sure you do not say that you want to share a table. The system will ask if you want to add another suite to your reservation. Simply input the booking number for the other suite and you will get a reservation for a four-top. Hope this helps. Dave
  6. Thanks for the information. I was afraid there might be one or more charters. 😢 Dave
  7. I see that Voyager has a gap in her schedule this year between June 3 and June 15. Could that be when a dry dock is scheduled? Dave
  8. Pull up the itinerary for the cruise. Then click on the “HOTELS“ link. Under “HOTEL & LAND PROGRAMS” there will be two or three links. If there is an Overland Program for the cruise, there will be a “OVERLAND” link. Click on it to see details about the Overland Program. Dave
  9. pappy1022, I use a TA website. So, unfortunately, Cruise Critic rules prevent me from answering your question online. Sorry. Dave
  10. Gray Lady, don’t worry about excursions. I looked at your cruise and, as of today, there were 203 suites available to book. So fewer than half the maximum number of passengers will be booking excursions at the 365 day mark. You should be fine when you book excursions at 300 days. Dave
  11. Using a VPN, you can access Regent’s UK website from anywhere. First, select a UK server from the VPN. Then open the Regent website and click on the account link. Once you get to the account main page, the website will switch to the UK website. I just switched to the UK website from the Explorer in Nagasaki, Japan. Give it a try. Dave
  12. A Regent, cash advance and a credit card cash advance are different. The credit card cash advance is actually a loan on which interest accrues until you pay it back. The credit card company cannot charge interest on a Regent cash advance since they are not the source of the funds. Charging interest would be illegal. Only Regent could charge interest on the cash advance, but they do not do so. Dave
  13. I believe it’s either 75 or 90 minutes. Dave
  14. Yes. We boarded Explorer today in Yokohama. Everyone had to show a negative Covid test. Dave
  15. The ability to order from the Compass Rose menu at dinner is fleet wide. You may also be able to order from the Compass Rose menu at lunchtime, although I’m not sure about that. I intend to check that out on my cruise in a couple of weeks.
  16. We checked a couple of years ago and it was $800 per year. Diamond membership is limited to one MedJet transfer per year. Dave
  17. Here you go: https://www.rssc.com/experience/cuisine/room-service. There is a sample room service menu to open. You may also order off the Compass Rose menu at dinner time. Dave
  18. Rachel, have you tried opting out of marketing mailings on the Regent website? If not, go to the bottom of the main website page and under “Resources,” click on “Update Marketing Preferences.“ Supposedly this link gives you the option of opting out of some or all of marketing emails, mailings or phone calls. I don’t know if it works but it’s worth a try. Dave
  19. Yes, you have to call Regent to cancel excursions. Dave
  20. I’m not sure. Here are links to the benefit guides for both cards so you can compare their benefits: Sapphire Reserve benefits Sapphire Preferred benefits Dave
  21. We are on Voyager at the moment. The hairdryer in our suite is a Hamilton Beach Commercial with 1875 watts and a cold shot button. Hope this helps. Dave
  22. At least on the Explorer and the Splendor, the menu on the TV has a section that enables you to change the input. I’m not sure about the other ships. Dave
