  1. If you do an internet search for buy and sell CruiseNext certificates you will find a website where you can buy and sell CN/CF s that owners cannot use. They are always listed at less than they paid for the certificate. please read every word of the restrictions on CF certificates (they are different than CN certificates) so you will be aware of what you are buying.
  2. NCL had gone to bamboo straws. They are sturdy, tasteless, and biodegradable. We just had our first experience with the candy straws last week and YUK. To add insult to injury, I ordered a mudslide and the bar tender didn’t put any chocolate in the glass, so I asked him about that and he said they don’t do that anymore because they use the chocolate straws. I thought he was just being a weinie so I went to a different bar and he told me the same thing. No more mudslides for me this trip. Plus there was no flavorless straw, so the flavor of the strawb distorted the taste of a drink (they gave me an apple one for my kiss on the lips -yuk) and it makes things overly sweet.
  3. Actually, I prefer the tap water to the Flow container water. But that’s just me, I guess.
  4. On our February and December cruises we received four 1/2 liter containers per stateroom.
  5. A perk I would like to see for upper levels is priority disembarkation. NCL is probably at the bottom of the list for well organized disembarkation. A designated area, DR, theater, lounge is open to top tiers only with self assist luggage. Like embarkation, once the ship is cleared they call levels and escort you off the ship. aside from a few employees, there is no cost to the ship. Zip, zero, nada. So nice on other lines to not have to stand in that extremely long self disembark line.
  6. Julig22, thanks for that bit of information.
  7. On some ships, there is coffee in the casino late night and wee hours of the morning.
  8. Well, when I added my daughter to our card so she would have an emergency card when she left for college, it showed up on her credit report when she applied for a mortgage some years later. Obviously things have changed.
  9. The card will show up on your daughters credit report. Not that it’s a bad thing, but you may want to let her know so there are no surprises if she applies for credit.
  10. Ask your room steward and they will bring you one, along with coffee pods. I have read on this site that inside cruisers have been told no because they were in an inside cabin, but that has not been out experience in the past.
  11. Yes, you must have a reservation, otherwise there is nothing to attach the points to. There is no certificate, you just call (or use the website) to make your transaction and the points are subtracted from your WP account.
  12. American Dental Association 🤣
  13. When our flights require leaving home before full sunlight, it’s always a hat or sunglasses. I used to have a few things that were small but oft forgotten, so now I have a set of those items that “live” in my suitcase. Deck of cards, toothbrush, toothpaste, magnifying mirror, hairbrush, pen and multi dangle charging cord and block.
  14. Julig22, thanks for reporting that! That is the way it has always worked until a few recent experiences. Maybe they have realized their current plan was not wise. 🤗
  15. On the BA in March Diamonds were offered a cocktail event which was a tasting of 8 sustainable cocktails. Yes, they were made from everything like used coffee grounds to fruits rinds. Only one was halfway drinkable, the others, a sip was all I could stomach. But I saw people drinking them and at a premium price! My advice is, if you are invited to this event, don’t go. Likewise the wine tasting was pretty awful, also. The only thing I found drinkable was the Santa Margarita (?) Pinot Grigio. It was nicely done but the wines were disappointing.
  16. You can request a coffee maker for your room. They are Hamilton Beach, I think, and use the little flat pods rather than KCups. I make my own pods and take them with me.
  17. I’ve given up on cruise ship coffee 🤮. Instead I make my own pods with our favorite Community Coffee and make coffee in the cabin. Good coffee and my sweetie on the balcony. What a way to start the day.
  18. With the points you have you can do an inside cabin. The terms are clear on the website and if you still have questions you need to speak directly to WP
  19. So many beautiful sites, each spectacular in their own way. Napoli Coast in Hawaii Evening lava flow on Hawaii Glacier Bay Alaska Misty Fjord Alaska Swedish archipelago departing Stockholm NOrwegian Fjords Kiel Canal, Germany
  20. Upgrades are only available for cruises 5 nights or longer. If you go to the redemption page it is very clearly laid out.
  21. Upgrades can only be done from inside and OV and only as high as a BA balcony.
