  1. To answer your question directly, no. Except possibly a charter cruise. Try Viking.
  2. Yes we dined in Tuscan this year on Equinox. Feel free to order multiple portions. No problem.
  3. There have been at least two or more recent threads on this topic here on CC if you are interested.
  4. $10 breakfast $20 lunch $30 dinner
  5. I tend to order the same surf and turf (lobster and additional filet) instead of 2 lobsters. Good choice.
  6. Why not just cruise on another cruise line in a traditional balcony? (Edit_ sorry I did not see your response to Rich Yak before I posted this)
  7. Thanks. I will watch for developments on this story.
  8. If they offered meaningful Sr rates, almost the entire ship would get a discount!
  9. Yes agree. The sargassum biomass can be used for fertilizer and fuel (burns cleanly), and perhaps other uses as well. We need to turn an ongoing problem into an advantage.
  10. Very good story! It is hard not to get close to our dogs who are lifelong faithful friends!
  11. I have had the Luminae chicken a number of times. A couple of times the roasted half chicken was very overcooked and inedible.
  12. This has not been the norm for Luminae - in our recent experience and in may posts here from other suite passengers as well. The wheels have come off? Maybe just a bad experience on one night on one ship. The poster said others had received their dinners around them in a reasonable time.
  13. When we did this cruise a few years back in the month of April on Infinity (16 nights, FLL to San Diego) there were absolutely no children on board. Mostly retired folks with the time necessary to commit to this cruise itinerary. No surprise really. Also it was hot then. If it was scheduled in the summer with kids out of school, I think the heat and humidity would be unbearable!
  14. I know you asked Jim and I respect your thoughts and choices. I would just add the comment that a single meal in Luminae does not necessarily reflect on the entirety of the suite experience. You might enjoy it!😀
  15. There have been quite a few posts here about it being available on a number of ships. But I do not know if it is actually fleet wide.
  16. Which ship? Type of cabin? Here are a few things. No more Welcome bubbly when you walk on the ship. But you can find it in Cafe al Bacio. The muster drill has been simplified. No need to put on a life preserver and go outside. This and many other things you can find by downloading the Celebrity app - which did not exist 6 years ago. Wifi has been improved - but some still have issues with it. You can pay for premium. Specialty restaurant pricing has become much more expensive.
  17. Many of us have cruised RCCL and crossed over to Celebrity. Welcome! Hopefully you will enjoy the quieter experience with less kids! No amusement parks and no constant announcements. Grand Cayman is a tender port and sometimes gets missed due to high seas. That happened to us a couple of times. Also Celebrity does something strange for this port and closes all of the bars on board except the Pool Bar. When we go to Cozumel we always go to Nachi Cocum private beach club but you need to book in advance ($55 pp). Includes free drinks and food.
  18. They should have a Zenith lunch on every cruise with at least one Zenith on board. Every time.
  19. Wow Triple Zenith! I never have seen that before. How many TZ's exist? Must have been cruising on Celebrity since birth!
  20. I find this thread pretty interesting with good information from the CC folks on here. The OP YouTube guy was just posting a catchy title for click bait purposes. I did not bite. And he never returned.
  21. Well in reality the CEO of Royal Caribbean Group (not RCCL) is the boss of the new Celebrity CEO. The RCCL CEO is an equal to the Celebrity CEO in the corporate structure.
  22. Totally agree that Z's should be allowed to use the Retreat Lounge (or Michael's Club).
  23. Cruising in suites on Celebrity has been a very nice vacation over the years for us. These absurd suite prices now have made us seek other cruise lines. Like a lot of Celebrity loyalists here. I never imagined I would change but that is where we find ourselves.
  24. They are not pushing suites over long time loyalty. They are separate issues entirely IMO. If one pays the exorbitant prices these days for a suite experience, what does that have to do with benefits for Z, E+ or E? Those Loyalty benefits are perks. The suite benefits are paid for. They can address the Loyalty perks (and restore the Z's benefits) without the idea that they compete with Suites.
  25. It is not the Starlink that is the problem. It has been documented here on CC that the ship puts a significant throttle on the download and upload speeds. And since most everybody has the standard WiFi there is a user sharing issue too. We had premium Wifi on Equinox with Starlink- the best I experienced on any cruise.
