  1. Definitely escalate this and keep doing so until you get an answer.
  2. Thanks for posting. We were on Equinox Jan 21-30 this year. The breakfast and lunch OVC buffets were similar to your video. Plenty of selections and pretty much same as we experienced in the past. But for our cruise, the dinner OVC buffet was paltry. Pizza and pasta and a small salad bar. So what you show is a significant improvement for the dinner buffet. Not as great as in the past, but certainly enough choices to probably satisfy many cruisers now. I guess Celebrity did listen to its passengers to some extent.
  3. We had a similar cruise on Equinox recently. Aruba was changed to Nassau. At least you get to stay in Curacao! But missing Bonaire is very unfortunate.
  4. With respect, this is likely a much more complex question than anybody here on Cruise Critic can truly answer- unless they are a port agent at Port Everglades and they know scheduling, port nuances, fees, deliveries, a multitude of factors. Where you have to park and shuttle is probably far down on the list.
  5. We have done excursions organized with small groups from our Roll Call. We know them from the Roll Call or from Cruise Critic but of course have never met most of them in person until the cruise. Sometimes we meet them on ship prior to the excursion and make friends. Often lasting through the cruise or beyond. This was easier to do when the CC roll call parties were happening. Another example would be to organize an excursion with some folks on the cruise who we have often posted with here on CC. For example, we have not (yet) met in person but I feel like I know you in general from our interactions over the years here on CC. We have a number of things in common. So a shared excursion would be enjoyable I think. There are other posters here who I would avoid like the plague!☺️
  6. On this (now long) thread, having read the positive and negative comments, minor skirmishes, and the grasses greener on various other cruise lines, I don't think Celebrity is at a crossroads. I think Celebrity loyalist cruisers are at a crossroads. But if I go back a year, 2 years, 5 years and 10 years, I would find the exact same type of thread. Some of us have tried other cruise lines, but have come back and are still posting here and still sailing Celebrity. If anybody finds the absolute perfect cruise line at the price point (for them) stick to it. And let us know what it is and where to find your posts going forward!😀 But nothing wrong with variety of cruise lines and ships. We all need new adventures.
  7. Yeah we just all need an Ignore Button for live people.
  8. Yeah- your cruise will be saved!😀
  9. To a fair degree you can control the second suggestion. You can choose a cruise in a non-vacation period for a longer itinerary on a line like Celebrity. There will be barely any kids. Or go with Viking. Cruises on family friendly lines (RCCL, NCL, Carnival) 7 nights or less will be full of kids.
  10. Posting a personal email to a named crew member is not allowed by Celebrity or by Cruise Critic. Emails to general business functions, ie., Special Needs, Retreat concierge, etc. But no specific names or personal emails. Exception is the CEO of Celebrity (LLP- but her staff members respond).
  11. It seems like a huge detractor for many customers. But I guess a lot of people are willing.
  12. When you have kids, cruise with kids. When you don't have kids, don't sail with kids.
  13. Is the final payment refundable for some period of time? Or is it lost if you cancel anytime within that year?
  14. Anybody here sail Siversea as they are the small luxury line now for the Royal Caribbean Group? I would like to know how they compare to Azamara and Oceania.
  15. There is no comparison at the lowest level suite. RCCL Jr Suite has no benefits except a larger cabin. Sky suite is a much better deal overall.
  16. We sailed Constellation in the summer through the Mediterranean and Adriatic regions. Very port intensive. It was a ten day cruise from Venice. There were hardly any kids at all even though it was in school summer vacation period. Excellent cruise! We have never sailed Virgin. But we are thinking of Viking. Biggest drawback for us is there is no casino. Not that we are big gamblers but we do like to partake a few times a cruise.
  17. RCCL has some well maintained, smaller ships. We enjoy the Radiance class, like Brilliance. About the size of M-Class ships. Only 1/3 the number of passengers vs. Oasis class.
  18. The CS on Edge has a regular-height table with two chairs.
  19. I cannot answer this except to say the clear winner is very much a personal choice depending on what you want out of your cruise vacation. All of these ships are quite nice in their own ways. If we are sailing the Caribbean and feel more like a party type vacation with a lot of activity we would go with RCCL and we really do enjoy Oasis class for this. We love the Crown Loft suites. The restaurants and entertainment choices on these ships far surpass any Celebrity ship. But so do the crowds, noise and kids. A good in-between choice is the RCCL Quantum ships like Anthem. Still more activity and noise (think bumper cars) than Celebrity but not a gigantic ship. When you sail Edge soon, you will have a very different on-ship experience than Wonder. More refined than any RCCL ship and less noise, far fewer kids, but also fewer dining and entertainment choices (but still enough for us). So as we are now retired and without kids at home, we tend to mostly cruise Celebrity. We prefer S-Class and M-Class to the Edge Class, mostly for the real balconies. But if you are in a suite on Edge you will get real balconies.
  20. You could have brought them on your next Celebrity cruise and sold them!😀
  21. Wonder can carry near 6988 passengers at maximum occupancy and 2300 crew. It has a gross tonnage of 236,857. Edge carries 2918 passengers and and 1377 crew, gross tonnage is 130,818. So in addition to being a floating amusement park loaded with kids, Wonder is a whole lot larger than Edge by any measure. I have been on Allure and Edge. No comparison. I was on Anthem and found it to have some similarities to Edge.
  22. Many options. The FLL airport is very close to the Port Everglades cruise port. We also use Larry's Limos, as we usually have to deal with large and heavy luggage (yeah we cruise that way).😀
  23. We found the Purell dispensers often empty on our most recent sailing like at the entrance to the OVC for example. But there was always a staff member there with a squirt bottle for Purell when you entered.
  24. In general we get this type of comment here on occasion like the OP's about feeling like a "second class citizen" or others have commented "being in steerage". One's feelings and how they view themselves are one's own perception. Nobody can actually directly make you feel that way. Why have that outlook? Who cares what anybody else thinks ?
  25. I had Starlink premium on Equinox in January in the Caribbean. It was the most reliable and fastest WiFi that I have ever experienced on a ship. No problem with streaming at all.
