We have booked a B2B2B on the Nieuw Amsterdam to Alaska from Vancouver followed by a Vancouver to Ft. Lauderdale and a Ft. Lauderdale to Eastern Caribbean cruise later this month . We booked Rudi's for Alaska and wanted to book them for the other cruises and the Pinnacle Gala for the Panama leg . They are not shown as available at the HAL cruise activities . When we spoke to HAL they didn't know nor did their supervisors if it will become available any time soon . Has anyone else heard anything ?

We had these before the Gala dinner on the Nieuw Amsterdam And the orange Creamsicle

Great for you guys staying ahead of the crowds . We tried but our guide showed up 1/2 an hour late . He did leap frog over Goðafoss and all of the buses but we missed good lighting on the falls in the morning . We went to Namafjall first and thought that we we on the moon . We also went to Dettifoss which is suppose to be the second most powerful waterfall in Europe Further down the river

We didn't think so . The food wasn't that good . If you have a Neptune Suite you eat eat breakfast here instead of the Pinnacle Grill . We like a variety of specialty restaurants and that's we and our money go .

Super ! We hope that the puffins are there also . Hopefully the babies may be out of the burrows . Most people go to the right hand viewing area for a close view but off to the left is an overlook where you can see them and other birds fishing in the lagoon . Loved Dynjandi . If you have a head net and or midge repellant take it as the midges at the waterfall can be bad . You can see some midges at the end of the video clip and the first guy has a head net on . If you don't have one you may want to get one at the stores near the ports . Myvatn nature baths was much less crowded then the blue lagoon . Have a great trip and were looking forward to seeing and hearing more . ☺️

We enjoyed a nice lunch at the Gullfoss Panorama Restaurant on the Golden Circle near Reyjavik . The lamb soup was good but we liked the Tomato soup better . And the Black Forest Cake was really good . We don't know what you're doing in Seydisfjorour but we had a nice tour and it was the best area to see Puffins up close and we walked to a really nice waterfall very near to the port after lunch . We loved it - enjoy Iceland .

Yay , and welcome aboard to the cold leg of our Fire and Ice cruise on the NA in Fall of 2022 and thank you for linking the two of them together . Only 2 months to go . 🦥 🐧

Our favorite place to see penguins was in Antarctica where we saw 5 kinds in their natural environment for feeding and breeding . We also saw Whales , Orca and many other types of birds and tons of icebergs and glaciers . Here they are jumping on an iceberg A pod of Orca chasing a penguin The next best was on the Falkland Islands where we saw 3 kinds close up and with babies and eggs . Next best for us as Punta Tombo that also had close encounters with a Guanaco Magdalena Island was a long bumpy ride in a crowed hot boat with lots of people on the island for only about an hour to see 1 type of penguins . Instead we preferred the trip to the beauty of Patagonia with Torres Del Pines from the port of Punta Arenas . Our least favorite was Otway . A very long , crowded ride with the penguins seen at long distance . You may like to look at our full review with lots of photos and videos here :

Is this the devolution of the cruise bags ? Carnival bag from 10 years ago was made of canvas , heavy duty carrying straps and an insulated compartment for 10 cool drinks . This is what our Club Orange Bag looks like for an added cost . Some canvas and smaller . Our recycled plastic bag from our Neptune Suite cruise from Ft. Lauderdale to San Diego in April and the Carnival bag .

We have never booked HAL for entertainment but more so for the ships and cruise itinerary . We did our 10 th cruise with them in April from Port Everglades thru the Panama Canal to San Diego on the Nieuw Amsterdam . While we don't book cruises for the entertainment we were pleasantly surprised on this trip . Robert Neary appeared several times at the Neil Diamond Experience , this time singing Sweet Caroline . A couple of nights later he channeled Elvis . And the BeeGees They also had the Jukebox Rogues who took us back to the West End for a version of the Jersey Boys show that we saw In London years ago . They also sang and danced some Motown , and performed Singing in Rain and Queen's , Bohemian Rhapsody on a different night . We enjoyed the entertainment on this cruise as much as any that we have seen on Princess , Celebrity , Royal Caribbean or Carnival .

What to do when you have this view and the Gala dinner on HAL . We love dinner on the balcony We loved our dinner here but our favorite HAL balcony is on the Zuiderdam . We had this room on the Zuiderdam in Iceland and Norway and to the ABC islands . The second video is the sunset in Copenhagen in the same cabin .

What a romantic proposal place The movie that made the Del Coronado a star , Some like it Hot ( Which co-stars Marilyn Monroe , Tony Curtis and Jack Lemon ) is on this evening on TCM @ 8pm .

Mister Sand Man at work The wedding proposal We really like the Ice Cream here especially the Chery Vanilla We were here at the wrong time but we would love to be here for Ice skating by the sea at Frostbite https://hoteldel.com/events/skating-by-the-sea/ The night before we left San Diego there were a lot of Police cars and Fire trucks parked near the Del . The local TV station was there also . It seemed to be a luau theme of sorts - complete with gas powered fire to stay warm .

A couple of souvenirs - How many places and things can you recognize from our visit ? A copy of the car , it's color and the same year as the car that I drove to and in San Diego in 1973 . It's also the car that I was driving when I met my future wife .
