  1. Not in SVs on Apex. Don't know about suites. Rolling a wet suit in a towel and getting a lot of the water out will help. We put wrung-out suits on hangers on the hooks on the bathroom door.
  2. Not really. By the time the first passengers board (11:30-ish), the rooms are 95% turned over and all that's left is stuff like putting excursion tickets on the bed/desk and replacing room service breakfast door hangers. Popping in to put carry-ons in a closet and a few things in the safe takes maybe 10 minutes. Then getting lunch in the buffet is easier for everyone--dining stewards included.
  3. On Celebrity, you head to your stateroom upon boarding to pick up your room key and drop off your bags inside the room. Then go away for a while and let the steward finish preparing the room. (There will be a magnet on the door letting you know the room isn't done. If the magnet's gone, you can hang out. Probably around 1:30 pm.)
  4. You can use the Celebrity app without accessing the internet.
  5. No dedicated lounge for Elite and above. Free drinks for Elite and above during happy hour (5-7 p.m.; details on a perks paper in the room upon boarding). All the E-class ships have anytime dining only. The others have anytime or reserved seating at one of two sittings.
  6. Post 12 in this thread. You are allowed to combine one ongoing offer with an onboard booking. If there's a 50% off second guest offer already going, you can do that and get the lower deposit and OBC for booking onboard.
  7. Two one-way (each way) rentals will work. I agree that an Uber driver is unlikely to accept a 130-mile one-way trip, on either end.
  8. You'll have to deal with Miami traffic anyway, so just get there when you get there. 🤷 Agree with above that HIBL is better choice.
  9. You can take advantage of ongoing sales along with the book-on-board benefits.
  10. Yes, his work is in the Atlantis resort.
  11. The system will probably know. I wouldn't worry about it.
  12. Hey, not all of those bags were mine! 😁
  13. It's a good time because all of the "Me first" passengers are llikely to be cleared out.
  14. Midnight ET, but no need to do it then.
  15. Unfortunately, in many schools today, kids are specifically taught to judge by covers.
  16. Regarding your statement in my bold above, this is not accurate. If the window is open, the A/C is off. The bifold doors have no effect.
  17. Absences affect funding, regardless of the reason. From Parents dot com: "[A]verage daily attendance metric, or ADA, is the driver behind the school getting finances that pay for staff, resources, and other educational programs. Several states, including California, Illinois, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, New York, and Texas, use a school district's ADA to determine its funding."
  18. Onboard discounts for specialties are a thing of the past. If you book a package online before sailing, you can't pick your days/times until onboard.
  19. Not correct. It's two bottles per adult, not per cabin. From the FAQ: Guests are not permitted to bring alcoholic beverages onboard, with the exception of embarkation day when each guest (of legal drinking age) is permitted to bring onboard up to two (2) 750 ml bottles of wine (which are subject to a corkage fee) per guest. A corkage fee does not apply to guests with the Classic Beverage Package or Premium Beverage Package.
  20. Not all of us text. 😉 And thank goodness everyone's phones aren't dinging all over the ship with "Where are you?" message notifications.
  21. If you have a check, it'll be immigration, not customs.
  22. My DH did a charter with http://silvertidecharters.com/ last December and would highly recommend. You will have to Uber to the marina; the captain dropped him off closer to the ship and he walked back.
