  1. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2953243-want-to-change-my-cruise-was-told-i-lose-my-obc-booked-a-future-cruise-on-board/
  2. More bad news: hurricane season is from June 1 to November 30. 😉
  3. Sure--that's why I didn't use airport codes. But PP implied Brightline wasn't already running.
  4. Brightline is already running between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale.
  5. A few thoughts: --On a 7-day cruise, a comedian will do one or two regular shows and a late-night one that's more adult --Pizza and pasta are available in the buffet until late --Plenty of game shows and trivia
  6. The window can be opened via a switch near the door, near the window, or via the Celebrity app. And it's just a window--there is no "out there." If they go out the window, they're overboard.
  7. Yes, which is not the point I was making. For the OP to pay a "small" (read: on sale, $15/adult and $12/child) fee to get back to the airport and then travel to the port is a waste of time and money.
  8. We enjoyed (/s) the bass from DJ Tash (could have that wrong) from 11 p.m. "until" on the first night in our Deck 7 SV. We called Guest Services and asked to be moved. The DJ did a late-evening show all week. Fortunately, we were moved to Deck 9 and had no more noise issues.
  9. Sure. Whichever deck is right above Eden. Noisy as all getout. I'd change rooms if you're even closer on Deck 6.
  10. We asked to move from our Deck 6 SV on Apex and were fortunate to be able to. The bass in the evenings was awful for hours.
  11. Customs is a thing, and one should declare if over the allowed limit/items. But you'd have to buy a lot of T-shirts to go over $1,600 (the combined limit for two married people traveling together). Which cruise line are you on? Some of the terminals at Port Everglades have facial recognition for immigration and some don't. The former would obviously be faster.
  12. There is no more "Disney transport" if you mean the complimentary Magical Express service.
  13. Not sure what your actual question is. For a solo, $25 isn't a bad price to get from FLL to PortMiami. You might have to wait for the bus to fill up, so if your flight arrives early in the a.m., you'll be waiting around for a bit. Then again, you'd have to wait anyway because you won't be able to board at 6 a.m. either.
  14. I'd rather jump overboard than listen to a bunch of people sing "Sweet Caroline." YMMV.
  15. The question was "What would you do?" People are answering.
  16. Take the money. You'll have better views out and about on the public decks anyway.
  17. Ah ha. So it costs $290, not an extra $290 over what another lot would cost. I see $28/day as the cost, but that $10 wouldn't mean much.
  18. Yes. Can you explain the math here? How long is your cruise? An extra $290 seems off.
  19. I'd get off early, rent a car, and head to Amelia Island for a few hours.
  20. I don't know about that. We pay Celebrity's suggested gratuities and rarely tip in addition to that. "A few hundred" is excessive, IMHO.
  21. Check the Ports of Call board and see if the excursion you want can be done privately.
  22. I already summed it up in post 259. Carry on with your ripostes. You'll get no tip from me.
  23. The topic interests me. The endless sniping and microscopic examination of nouns and verbs doesn't.
