  1. Or you could just wish her a happy birthday. 🤷‍♀️
  2. Just to clarify: it will work as long as the final payment deadline hasn't passed. If OP paid for the cruise early, the offer can still be applied.
  3. Good to know. I was answering this question from the OP: We sailed last year on Jewel of the seas around Greece, It was the first time we had done a smaller ship (without water slides etc) and really enjoyed the smaller ship. Is the Solstice a similar size?
  4. The Google shows that Jewel of the Seas and Solstice are similar. As far as age, that itinerary leads me to think the passengers will be relatively older, but I wouldn't let that deter me from booking. Take the cruise.
  5. They probably like honest people. And I generally don't argue with people with guns. 🤷
  6. No. The agent has discretion. Even when I am charged, an agent will often knock a few items off because she doesn't think/judge that each and every purchase is dutiable. I present my total and my receipts, and the agent takes it from there.
  7. You won't be able to enter the port on foot. Drop everyone off at the ship, return the car, call an Uber.
  8. Guilty face? New looking watch? Sparkling diamonds? The term "declare" tells me that the onus is on me as the traveler to declare what I have purchased overseas. The agent makes no declaration. Anyway, I will continue declaring without being asked. 😉
  9. Because it's the law, not to mention the right thing to do. If one is caught, they can fine, confiscate the items in question, and permanently revoke Global Entry. Not a chance I am willing to take. Besides, about 2/3 of the time, I don't get charged the duty I owe because the agent is flabbergasted that I was honest. The other 1/3, I pay up.
  10. I needed to declare earlier this month and the agent was surprised that I did. And I didn't have a form because the Constellation had just arrived in the U.S., so Guest Services didn't have any.
  11. The same notes are on those venues for my Dec. 10 Apex cruise. I'm hoping they just weren't removed from when they were accurate.
  12. Agreed, but adding a 4th to a table for four seems less of an issue than inviting a number of additional people.
  13. None that I know of. You will have to book your own transfer with the cruise line or an independent company. You could try booking through GoPort, but their reviews aren't great. https://www.goport.com/fly-snooze-cruise/orlando-airport
  14. No. 😄 I like my baubles and have many from traveling.
  15. Two S-class ships have the Lawn Club Grill. The E-class ships have the Rooftop Garden Grill.
  16. As noted in the link I gave you in your original post, there is no Lawn Club Grill on the Solstice. On the ships that have one, it's generally not open for lunch. Sushi on 5 might serve ahi tuna.
  17. The link I provided in your other post shows that Silk Harvest is no more.
  18. No, I was testing it with Tuscan on Apex, which is not a specialty.

  20. You can go anytime. Check in and boarding are two different things, though. If you're early-ish, you may check in and have to wait to board
  21. Regarding the car rental, most places have a key drop box for returns when the office is closed. You could call to confirm.
  22. It was there for the Toulon sailaway during the TA.
