  1. Well, no, because as has been discussed, no testing is required for arrival by land or ship.
  2. You mean have a godmother for a ship? Yes, it's a thing. 😊
  3. Only Suites and Zeniths have priority boarding at this time. You'll get an arrival window when you check in online, and if you arrive earlier, you may be asked to wait for those with earlier times to get processed.
  4. Yep. My ship straws can join my land straws.
  5. I searched the PP's suggestion. A $61 shuttle is great . . . the OP can get to PortMiami in time to watch his ship sail without him.
  6. The cost of a driver/car is above $700. The question is, why NOT a rental car?
  7. Not really. I put them in a trash can, not in the ocean. Surely you throw out plastic here and there on a cruise?
  8. The OP is getting off a ship at Port Canaveral and needs to get to PortMiami to get on another ship. It's pretty clear.
  9. I was upgraded from an OV to an IV on my March Apex cruise. I surmise that my original cabin was in the Quarantine Zone, though.
  10. AFAIK, there are no more "normal" afternoon treats. If you want treats, you ask for what you want. You can get bottles of water at any bar. We were escorted to the tender area by our butler (retreat host). Maybe that's changed. And if he or she is busy filling a tub, you could have a wait. 😉
  11. A car service taking one-way trips from Port Canaveral to PortMiami for less than a one-day rental? A random date on mozio shows no less than $725.
  12. To get from one ship to another, one imagines.
  13. You'll be required to be tested. There is no testing to enter Italy. Celebrity's website has all the information you need.
  14. You just need to test on the previous day. Hours don't matter.
  15. I'd encourage your "cruise buddy" to have a backup plan for an Uber from Pt. Everglades to Pt. Canaveral. That's a long drive with no guaranteed return fare, and with gas prices what they are . . . could be no one picks up the trip.

  17. Asymptomatic. But given that what you say is true, what do you want the cruiselines to do? Guess?
  18. Bring the tests that can be monitored remotely. That's part of my plan.
  19. See the third barnacle thread: "Barnacles on the Eclipse." 😉
  20. I am Gen X. While I liked Apex (although not my IV cabin [which I was upgraded to from a regular OV, so I won't complain about having a larger window 😉]), I really like the S-class and also enjoyed the Constellation, which I've booked for another cruise this year. I guess I'm a boomer in Gen X clothing.
  21. Well, yes, they are entitled to butler service that they have paid for.
  22. Looks like the PLF requirement is lifted as of May 1.
  23. Two staterooms. My mother snores like a freight train. I once spent one night in a hotel room with her. I couldn't have made it the length of a cruise. 😲
