I didn't get my email yet. Can someone who has tell me if they announced a date for the webinar?

Boarding times - are they strict?
broadwaybaby123 replied to lukesmom's topic in Royal Caribbean International
It depends. I've cruised 3 times on two ships out of the same port since the restart. Both ships were out of Bayonne. Anthem 2022: Yes they were strict. There were staffing issues causing even those of us who arrived on time to wait OUTSIDE for an hour and a half IN THE FREEZING COLD w/o jackets (they were in our checked luggage). Any latecomers were sent to the end of the line while early arrivals were sent to a waiting area to be called. Oasis 2022: Staffed properly, was able to waltz right onto the ship. Anthem 2023: Minor staffing issues caused slight delays but they weren't as strict as last year -

What’s a wellness check?
broadwaybaby123 replied to tokidoki's topic in Royal Caribbean International
It's really not that big a deal. They'll ask you if you have certain symptoms in the past 2 weeks. You're not revealing anything personal like whether or not you have a certain disease. They ask it again during boarding to make sure things haven't changed. And the appointment time is for when you arrive at the terminal. -
Would you PAY for towel animals?
broadwaybaby123 replied to LMaxwell's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I can make the towel animals myself, so no. -
I'm looking to do the same for this Zipline. I have a GoPro and a chest strap for it that has worked really well in the past. Does anyone know if I can take this setup on the Zipline?

I'd talk to the doctor. He/she knows your medical history and can advise on best practices. I'm recovering right now from minor surgery and my doctor already gave me the all clear for my cruise....2 months from now.

Will this review be posted anywhere? I'm about to go on her for a second time and would love to hear about any changes from the last time I was on there (back in 2018 and she was set to go into dry dock for the remodel the following week). -
Mine too! Now I've got to wait for the next one! I'm a mere 5 points from leveling up, after my next cruise!

"Netflix And Chill" day for me today. I had my toenail removed (due to infection), so I'm under doctor's orders to elevate it and rest today. Apart from some throbbing after, I'm fine. I'm terrified of needles, but I figured since I'm cruising in October "Better to have it done now than hobble around the ship". Now I have the perfect excuse to use the hot tubs onboard!

do they want us to use paper menu or the phone?
broadwaybaby123 replied to mcatmcat's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Volunteering for 2 tech companies, I know that anything can happen with tech and it's not always reliable. I'd much rather have the paper menu, that way you know the menu is right. -
Question for those who went NCL to Royal
broadwaybaby123 replied to Beer Belly's topic in Royal Caribbean International
So to explain the dining situation a little bit better, you basically have 2 options: Traditional (or "Fixed") Dining, which basically means that you'll be at the same table every night in the same dining room, no reservations needed. You can, however, tell your wait staff the night before if you plan on using other venues the following night. There's usually an early or late seating. The second option is "My Time Dining", which basically means that you make reservations that night or just show up to the venue (similar to Freestyle Dining). The downside of this is you're not guarantied a spot at the venue since they seat those of us that prefer Traditional Dining first. As far as the attire, it's strongly suggested that you follow it so you don't feel out of place, however, if you decide not to follow it (say you wanted to dress casual on a formal night), then you wouldn't necessarily be reprimanded. The only exception might be if whatever you're wearing is a health or safety issue for the other passengers and staff. -
Adventure of the Seas water slide?
broadwaybaby123 replied to wrg's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Yes there is, they were my first Royal Caribbean waterslides. They're a pair of racing waterslides called "The Perfect Storm". My niece and I race each other on them! -
Kids on their own on the boat - 10 yr old
broadwaybaby123 replied to paulfoel's topic in Royal Caribbean International
My niece is actually her age. She knows she can't go anywhere without telling us first and we have to be nearby. In the event we do get separated, we do have walkie talkies and give one to her (or whoever is with her). She's not old enough to use the chat feature on the app. -
I'd like to point out to some of the people that think Celebrity is primarily for adults, that Celebrity was one of the first (if not, the first) cruise line to introduce a kids program. They have always been family oriented. If you want to cruise without kids, that's your choice, but you can't expect families to avoid a line that has always catered to families. If you're set on limiting kids, you need to do one of the following: 1.) Choose a longer cruise: families tend to be limited to shorter cruises due to work and school breaks 2.) Cruise during times where the kids are in school 3.) Avoid cruising during the summer, if possible 4.) Do your research and choose an "Adults Only" line There will always be cruisers of many ages, that's just a fact of cruising life. You need to pick a line that already caters to your taste. Oh and by the way, this is coming from someone who started cruising at age 5.....on Celebrity.

Adults and Waterslides
broadwaybaby123 replied to jeffr6596's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Are you kidding me? My niece (11) and I RACE EACH OTHER on the slides! For proof, check out my video here from my time on "Oasis". My entire family went on "The Ultimate Abyss, as you will see in 15:16. We loved the slide so much that every time we go on an Oasis class ship, we must christen it with a slide down "The Ultimate Abyss". @molsonschooner is "Tidal Wave" scary? My niece and I are debating on trying that next year. -
For what it's worth, my niece has been cruising since she was 7, my sister since she was 9, and myself since I was 5. My sister and I started on the ORIGINAL Celebrity ship, the SS Meridian. My sister was more outgoing while I was more shy (definitely NOT shy now!). We both enjoyed the kids program: hers was way more active than mine and the programs were tailored to each group. My niece, on the other hand, started on Norwegian Bliss. While she enjoyed the programs on there, the program wasn't well organized due to staffing issues. My niece hated it. After the pandemic, she got to try Royal and fell in love with the company and what they have to offer.

I do! If you don't want kids running around (as implied by your post), then go during times when school is in session, pure and simple. It won't eliminate the kids, but there will be significantly less. If you want a guarantee of no kids, then you need to be looking at "adults only" cruises like Virgin Voyages.

I'm hoping they do. I'm less than 10 points away from Elite!

It's been years since I've cruised Celebrity, but I've always gotten a letter outlining benefits and discounts specific to our sailing. It was in our room on Embarkation Day.
