Good to know about the theatre, because I was just in My PO Cruises and it said you have to book. Had a look at the sample Beach Hut menu. Won't be going there! Awful menu for me. Might try Sindhu, but is there a cover charge, because there appears to be a separate price for each dish?
Have to agree. We don't do excursions, or specialty restaurants. We don't take a drinks package either. So they are not making much out of us. We DIY ashore, but love to have a local lunch and buy the odd thing.
Did one river cruise a few years ago. Would not recommend it. We smelt the bilges. Dinner seemed to be at 6pm, not to our taste. We like a drink about 7 and then dinner after that. The duck who put his nose through the window was a highlight though.
The person who wrote this on social media I have met on a cruise, so I think I can believe her. Also, another man on there agreed. Others had their sheets changed a\t 11pm as they had stains on them. Ho hum. I shall see what Aurora is like in October.
It was when they went to get into bed on the first night. There really should not be mildew on the shower head. That leads to illness. Yes agree about the carpets. I have noticed that before.
Just saw this picture posted on social media of a shower head on Britannia and another person said theirs was the same. Also, one person found a pair of knickers in her bed which were not hers!!
Well, I work 4 days a week, mostly sitting. I do walk the dog on the days I'm not working. But I definitely walk more on the cruise. Don't use the lifts, walk ashore and don't eat crisps like I do at home!! I eat to live, not the other way round. Food is not the reason I cruise, some nights, I don't like anything on the menu!!
Having been cruising for many years with both P&O and Fred O, up until recently the only ports missed (2 of them) were because of weather. Ajaccio and one other. Now it seems ports are changed 9 months before you sail and that is peculiar.
Absolutely spot on. That's what we do. I don't cruise for the food. I always lose a few pounds on a cruise. rushing from here to there, walking ashore, swimming.
