  1. Priority is not just for "loaded" people in suites. We are Caribbean and have an inside cabin. Still get priority time.
  2. Interesting. I was last there in 2019 and enjoyed it. Didn't notice dog mess.
  3. Our cruise is £1745 each for 19 nights. And if you find watching the sea boring, don't cruise!
  4. Yes, we drive from Devon normally, about 3.5 hours. Normally have a check in time of 1330. I have read the other thread and am still not sure if I can arrive early as Caribbean.
  5. OK, so I am still confused. We are Caribbean and if we have a boarding time of 13.30, can we arrive earlier and still board? It's the first time we have stayed the night before, so I'm not sure.
  6. I Agree!! Might have a couple of hours to kill the next morning though, depending on check in time. Remind me as Caribbean do I have to stick to my given time or not?
  7. I cruise with P&O and Fred because I don't fly these days. Just can't be doing with it. Drive to the port, get on the ship and I'm on holiday.
  8. We come from Devon, so usually use the southerly route. A30, through Dorchester etc. Having said that, we have had holdups on the M27 from the West before, but not more than half an hour. Never mind, we will go the day before. Not worth the hassle and hey another night I don't have to cook!!
  9. Well, I have just booked to stay in a hotel in Southampton before our October cruise. Never bothered before, but hey, why have stress!
  10. OK Dai, will do that. Thanks for advice. We usually arrive around or just before our allocated time and being Caribbean always helps.
  11. I am not doing that online. Will do it at checkin just like always.
  12. Couldn't agree more about lectures, crafts, painting. Only indoor thing we enjoy is the choir, but that's just an hour on sea days.
  13. Nope, we use the buffet for b'fast and lunch.
  14. Well I can't say I think about it that much, but I have never suffered with it either and neither has my other half.
  15. God, sounds awful. I remember one stop in Dubrovnik when there were 4 ships in. It was so crowded in those little street, you could hardly move. Our ship (Fred) wasn't leaving until 10pm, so we went back ashore for a drink about 6.45 and it was just lovely. Hardly anyone around and a chap came and played the piano.
  16. Also, I have noticed people coughing on ships many times. It doesn't mean they have Covid, might just be the aircon.
  17. and schools and hospitals. That person could have caught it on embarcation day if it appeared on Day 2.
  18. Interesting to read. We have our 19 nights in October and then Fred next April, so we are not booking anything else until we have done both those.
  19. I don't go with a pessimistic frame of mind either, but both of us have been unwell from time to time on a cruise and also spend as much time ashore as we can. PAYG covers all of that. As for 15 items per day? We wouldn't be anywhere near that even with the odd coffee. Neither of us use soft drinks at all.
  20. We have a large glass of wine in the Crows Nest before dinner and a bottle at dinner. I have the odd coffee during the cruise. We don't do soft drinks at all. Full of sugar and garbage. So we are never anywhere near the package.
  21. Think I will stick to PAYG. There's no way we could make use of any of that!
  22. I shall be very interested to see what Aurora is like in October. How good/bad the food is etc. First cruise since 2019.
  23. We have a 3 hour drive to pick up the dog and get home. It's just so much easier to wheel your own case. We only take one each even for 19 days, plus a carry bag. We go for brekkie about 7.30 and start walking off about 8, pick up the car and on the road. As for registering, never have, just keep our luggage.
  24. Exactly what I thought. Thanks for that. I have never registered, but kept our cases in our cabin.
