Another beautiful day in Skagway. Last time I did Alaska it rained every day so I'm really enjoying it. We did the White Pass Summit train. Then after a very good lunch with some really good beer at the Skagway Brewing Company. Then shopping. Got my husband a Hawaiian type shirt covered with crabs. Then an early night since we had to get up early for the Tracy Arm this morning. I brought an old friend with me who has never cruised before and she's loving it.

Yesterday was Juneau. 73 and sunny. Perfect day to go whale watching. We didn't have time to do anything else as we were only there from 3-9. They said there was a chance we could see the northern lights last night... we sat on our balcony drinking wine and while we saw a lot of stars... nothing glowed.

Day 2. It's been lovely. Got an email from Princess pushing back embarkation by an hour. Got to Pier 27 about 11:00... line moved fast. Had to wait in the PES lounge about 10 minutes and we were on board a little after 12. Food has been excellent, have had many lovely conversations while sharing tables in the MDR. Went out first round in the slot tournament and the casino has been packed. Going to hit up the PES happy hour tonight for the first time in many a cruise and then formal night. Tomorrow..whale watching in Juneau.

Nah. I just got the shareholders credit for a cruise in September 2023. Casino cruise.

It's not 48 hours, it's 2 days. There is a difference.

When I had Covid, I never tested positive on an antigen test. I wanted to know for sure so I went to the doctor for a PCR that came back positive. I was sick for 2 weeks and no positive so yes, it's a crap shoot.

Often, you don't get the actual credit until you board the ship. Not always, I've had it go both ways.

My 3 cruises since the pause, rooms are ready around 1 pm. The hallway doors have been closed so they aren't accessible, so don't count on it.

I used to have the world's best PVP but he got promoted. I had no luck after that so I found a TA that specializes in cruises. She gets me a discount and also gives me OBC. I don't have to wait on the phone, that's her job.

Yes. Well actually, I only book the casino cruises where it is included but recently it hasn't been. But, I'll wait em out until they offer it again.

Yeah. 6 of them are casino freebies which I know you guys don't get across the pond. I'm retired and winter sucks so why not? Hubby still works so it gives other family or friends the chance to come with me.

Booked my full transit Panama Canal FLL to LAX on the Ruby. Got the exact cabin that we wanted. We;ve done Panama canal before but it was a partial. Can't wait to go back to Cartegena. Just noticed my TA threw in the Plus Package. Bonus.

As of today, I have 9 cruises booked. None have changed since the pause. I changed one to another cruise line due to itinerary but so far so good.

The discovery did this cruise last spring. The formal nights were the first sea day and the 2nd to last day. I don't know what night Lobster issince we avoid formal night at all costs. I hate tendering. Getting off in Cabo wasn't terrible. Getting back takes forever. 2 hours might be pushing it.
