  1. Thanks... That makes sense. I thought she had said she had gotten an upgrade to a Suite, which was the reason I asked about Suite Priority in Greece. I was second guessing myself and thought I had remembered wrong.
  2. It really depends on your particular cruise. I've been on some where Luminae has had a line out the door at 5:30 and other times totally empty. You can ask for one of the banquette seating along the side. Many consider it less desirable as it is fare away from the windows and close to the kitchen. We were traveling with family that had hearing problems and they loved it because for them the kitchen noises didn't bother them and could carry on a conversation and hear.
  3. It's just the ships that are aging. We are staying young at heart.
  4. Don't hold your breath. Usually the exact same menus - Sometimes they throw in some off menu specials.
  5. Good Idea. Would be good to review the documentary requirements for a closed loop.
  6. You didn't indicate where you will be traveling to. If doing a Close Loop Cruise you are probably OK as you can travel using a Birth Certificate and Certain other ID's. You may wish to review - Celebrity State - Required travel documents for International Sailings Passport A valid passport is required for travel. Ensure there are sufficient blank visa pages within the passport for visa stamps. For additional passport information look here For your protection, we require that your passport expiration date not occur within six (6) months of the sailing termination date. https://visaguide.world/tips/passport-6-month-rule/
  7. FaceTime works perfect for me with the Premium so would expect no problem wihh FB Messenger. I've also done numerous Zoom Calls
  8. Technically correct but they also painted the exterior and removed all the rust, rebuilt the engines and Azipods and by the looks of things sanded and painted the railings. It has also been reported the replaced some of the carpet in the public areas and gave her a major clean up.
  9. Silhouette will be Pier 25 and Equinox Departed yesterday and as you said used Pier 25 Just for information - It would be impossible for two ships to disembark same terminal at the same time.
  10. Personal experience and may be different from others. I Upgraded my Room (CS to RS) two weeks ago and after final payment. Rates in both had dropped dramatically after final. I had booked onboard originally. I was told on doing it I would loose the $800 OBC but would keep the Gratuities. How - and Why, I didn't loose both is beyond me. For me even loosing the $800 was worth it as the upgrade only cost me $450. The Move UP offer minnimum was 2,400 pp
  11. Looking forward to following along. Hope weather is nice.
  12. Curious how full Retreat has been. I know it varies by time of day but was trying to get a feel.
  13. They have done away with the "All Cruise Photo" package. They have also cut down on the number of photographers. On recent cruises I don't recall the photographers coming into the dining rooms and shooting at the ports. All they had were backdrop photos in 2-3 locations.
  14. They carry Fre - by Sutter Home and have Bubbley (not my favorite), Chardonnay, Rose and Merlot. To me the Chardonnay is too sweet and usually drink the Rose and Red. For Beer they have Heineken Zero and O'Doule's - sometimes St. Paulie Girl
  15. I would would like to do Machu Picchu but that is not an option. Iain doesn't handle high elevations well so that's off the table. I'm pushing for an Africa Cruise on SilverSeas - Africa has been on my bucket lists a LONG TIME.
  16. Yikes.... I never put Milk or Cream in Coffee but that's the only way I can drink that battery acid. It burns all the way down
  17. Really enjoyed following along on you journey. Hope we get to meet one day.
  18. LOL - Maybe it is just one of those memories it brings back to me of both my Grandmother and Mother that I enjoy. Since I only eat it once a year and end up through most of it away I guess I'm not doing too much damage.
  19. Interesting about your Laptop - I'm using a Windows 11 Laptop and no problem with NordVPN. I know that when I wanted to use my Lapop to Share My Connection as a "Mini Router" there was a bunch of setup I had to do. I found a really good video on ExpressVPN that I followed using NordVPN and finally worked.
  20. I've been watching YouTubeTV for about 3 years outside the US using VPN. Much of the time I can find a San Francisco Server and even lets me watch Local Live. I normal record our favorites and the Local News so I can watch recordings. Many of the Steaming services restrict viewing outside of the US. Thus a Good VPN I also had to use VPN in Argentina - The had a dispute with Google an Blocked all Google Pages. including news and maps.
  21. I missed it also and noticed it one day -
  22. Initially you can just go in an pick a check-in for all. On the app you can go directly to the time slots . I think on the web you have to go through a couple screens but can leave blank. You can then go back and enter all the rest of the data anytime up until 48 hours prior to the cruise. You need: Scan Passport or put in passport details - PP#, Issue Date, Expiration Date, Country of Birth , Residence Country, Address and Phone Number Credit Card # Photo Gender Captains Club Number Emergency Contact
  23. You are cheating. LOL. I'm sure you have your own PA (Personal Assistant). Iain speaks French fluently so really helps out when in France.
  24. Sorry to hear. I would speak with one of the Host - I don't drink and once received a Gin and Tonic instead of Sparkling Water. The bartender profusely apologized and it never happened again.
  25. @Norwaylady Yikes.... So much for the schedule. I was just looking and at 4:50 AM you are still sitting outside the entrance along with Queen Elizabeth and SilverSeas Spirit. The good news is you should have daylight for the entire passage. Looks like you may be #3 of the Cruise Ships. Lots of Freight Traffic started heading south bound. Hopefully you will be on your way soon. The Green dots are the three cruise ships.
