  1. It is perfect for us and very peaceful. Couple pictures of what to expect. Cant really see the Yogurt and Berries but far back in this picture Hot sticky buns... not like the old ones but pretty good They have Regular, Almond and Nutella Croissants daily. They also have Gluten Free Rolls and muffins
  2. @WestLakeGirl has a good point. Also when you leave the ship there is a sign adjacent to where they list the ships departure and all aboard time.
  3. The beauty is they are open late compared to other locations. We are not big breakfast eaters and often have our breakfast in Retreat. They have a nice hot/cold table with Fresh Fruit, Cheeses, Meats, Greek Yogurt with Berries, Fresh Squeezed OJ, and a selection of breads and sweet pastries. They are also open until about 10:00 AM On ships that have not been Revolutionized they have menu service with the same items.
  4. Surprised. Usually the Shoreside Concierge contacts you by phone and email and advise you of the "Special Delivery" desk outside the terminal where they take your luggage and escort you inside, through the hustle and bustle and once cleared in the Retreat Lounge you are escorted to your room. While we don't need an escort we have always been escorted often even in a CS.
  5. Southampton is a wonderful town to just explore on your own. The Southampton Old Wall and fortifications are really interesting and you can explorer. We also had fun exploring Palmerston Park. Nothing better than just exploring and finding a nice pub for lunch. I've not yet done a turn around in Southampton, but on Celebrity last year we grabbed a train to Windsor Castle. Very easy walk to the Train Station and even though we had two train transfers was very painless. Many also take a quick side trip to Winchester - The Cathedral is incredible but the town is vibrant pedestrian mall with shops, pubs, restaurants etc etc.
  6. For me. In the upload slot it shows the size in mm and pixels. I then went to a free web based photo resizing site. e.g. https://imageresizer.com/ Just drag your photo there and then put in one of the measurements - It worked for me after getting rejected for my passport.
  7. Wouldn't bet on that. I've been checked many times. In Cabo last year everyone had to open backpacks for a inspection after departing the tender and lots of things confiscated. Many ports in South America all backpacks had to be put through an Agriculture inspection xray prior to departure from the terminal. Not sure why anyone would purposefully ignore the instruction and potentially cause destruction of the local agriculture. Surely we can all stop at a local store an purchase your picnic needs. Many Countries like Australia and New Zealand are very serious about enforcement and first offense can cost you $300+
  8. Which Ship? I can view the MDR Menu in my Edge 11/25 Cruise. They were not there last week but now all 14 days loaded. Prime Rib night 1
  9. The first segment of the 4 segment "World Cruise". We are on the last 2 segments.
  10. Abe Roberts posted some pictures from Edge - Nothing of the work yet. I love his photography found on many Social Media Sites
  11. Credits: Jorge Pena posted from Reflection of Edge in Marseille.
  12. From what I've seen is Cunard don't have a stand alone app. Instead they use a URL link using your browser e.g. Chrome. From that URL you will have access to the daily planner. Since it would be web based there would not be the capability of messaging. If you and those you wish to communicate with all have internet access you should be able to use Text over Wifi.
  13. Yea our furniture was tied down until Boston. I loved the overnight in Manhattan
  14. It is not uncommon to get an accessible suite when booking a Guarantee. Keep an eye out and if another SkySuite comes available call you agent or Celebrity and change rooms if you don't want it. Remember -- if a SS2 you will have to find a SS2 room. or SS1 for SS1
  15. Know your disappointment, I would not be surprised if all passengers receive a FCC in the amount of one days room rate. We were on a TA that had to divert around a huge storm and put us in a day late and shifted all ports by one day. The next port was NYC and many had tickets for Saturday night for Hamilton. Sunday was Black so no theaters and they were all out of luck. They issued FCC's to everyone. Had that happens 2 or 3 other times.
  16. I've never been cold in the public area of the ship but as others say, pack for a layered look and if chilly put on a long sleeve or sweater. I have however had a problem in a number of Suites and had to call to have maintenance adjust. One time the AC was stuck on low in the Bedroom and was down in the 60's. They found a breaker in the thermostat had tripped and was fixed in minutes.
  17. Thanks... with the basic you are doing excellent. Most can't get it to load at all. CC is very data intensive with a lot of behind of the scene activity. Really enjoying your Live Post.
  18. Yes you can just book it yourself but you may be able to get an additional "discount" / OBC if you book it through the same agent as your first booking or book it yourself and transfer it to that agent. When doing a B2B, I always try to see if I can get the same room on both cruises. It just makes it easier instead of having to breakdown and setup your new room.
  19. I think it could be an interesting read regardless of you views as Celebrity CEO. She broke many glass ceilings herself as well as broke many by hiring Women in Senior Rolls - good example is Captain Kate. I'll probably wait until it is out in Audiobook and available at my Library.
  20. I've often seen many cabins of all class come available at finally payment date. Of course that was prior to the Non-Refundable Deposit but many on current sailings booked prior to the implementation of the NR. I would still expect to see cabins pop up just before final payment. With the penalty of $100 pp to change the reservation many will consider that when booking instead of paying $1,000+ for NR Deposits.
  21. To my knowledge the only TA's not a participant is the big Box store that starts with C. It would be a good idea in the future to ask in advance of booking what they are offering for your booking with them. If they don't offer anything I would compare with what other agents are offering. The norm would be in the range of 5-10%
  22. Have to agree with you. A maitre'd once told me he really wants to know so he can make sure the same doesn't happen to another guest. He assured me the waiter would not get in trouble but he just needs to give them some additional training on how not to forget something.
  23. Posts are coming through great. BTW do you have the Basic or Premium Wifi.
