  1. As you say ... individual results may vary. I applied for my Credit in May for a September cruise and it was applied within 2 days.
  2. I agree 100% -- You support my query. It was applied to our stateroom ----but when I tried to book a tour it would only allow me to apply 50% to the solo tour I wanted to book.
  3. I have been bitten before but not while one the ship. All the times were on land and in the evening times sitting out side having dinner. For some reason Mosquitos love my angles.
  4. We were lucky enough to have John Maxtone-Graham and His Wife Mary give daily lectures on 3 different crossings. They would absolutely pack the theater every lecture. While everyone knows John - Mary would make cameo appearances on stage in period dress and was absolutely delightful to meet and talk with.
  5. I've been on most S, M and E class ships and haven't noticed any significance difference in the bed frame. They are of course all all enough for a couple large suitcases fit under without a problem. I did look once and found that they use a strap around the perimeter of the mattresses to keep them from moving apart. You may investigate unstrapping before trying to move apart.
  6. One possibility is to check with the Credit Card that you used for payment of the cruise. Many like Chase Sapphire Reserve have built in insurance up to a certain limit that might cover some of your loss.
  7. I've found that they usually have at least one on M- and S- Class ships. That is where the lamps are plugged in. On revolutionized ships I believe they added regular 110v sockets also. I usually just request a extension cord just in case.
  8. Know the feeling I got sticker shock a couple months ago when I took the Grand Kids to McDonald's. I had not been in one in years. It took almost a full C note.
  9. Wanted to thank you for your well written and photo documentary. I just discovered it today and have been engrossed for the past hour and still only beginning page 2. All I can say is your kids are the luckiest kids in the world. What an adventure and you haven't even begun the Galapagos portion of your adventure. I'm an Orphan... please adopt me... LOL
  10. Even though we have not booked on Celebrity we still have a 2 TransAtlantic booked. This year on Silhouette in November and on in November of 2025 from Lisbon to Buenos Aires (unless the cancel it for a 3rd time). I'm really getting excited about Oceania. Incredible how many Celebrity Refugees are showing up on their forum. I'm really toying with an Africa Cruise on Regent Seven Sea. I had always wished Celebrity would branch out as oppose to just doing the same old routes over and over again. The cruise we are looking at would go up the coast from Cape Town to Lisbon and then a TransAtlantic ending in Miami.
  11. While not known by many Texas is the #1 Sheep Area in the U.S Followed by California. We often get really good Sonoma County Lamb as well as Colorado Lamb in the SF Bay area. I really didn't even know about Texas until I googled. To be honest, most of lamb we get is New Zealand Lamb.
  12. Love the pictures of the falls. Brings back such fond memories. Looks kinda chilly.
  13. The Children's Menus is available in all restaurants. The only thing that has changed is the 4 ounce Filet was replaced with 4 ounce New York Strip Out of boredom we ordered a Grilled Cheese one night.
  14. Agree with you. Even though Double Zenith we haven't booked a single Celebrity Cruise this year. We have found some great cruises on Cunard, Oceania and SilverSea. Many of the recent flip flops, prices and food quality/selection have been the main drivers. I believe Celebrity still has a good product but seem to be driving us away in lieu of RCL younger families with shorter cruises and private Island. Sorry but no interest.
  15. Normally we have never had to wait more than a couple minutes while they clean a table and set it up. When traveling with friends we have however had to wait for a table when dining with a group of 4 or 6. The wait was as much as 30 minutes and were waiting in Luminae. As others have said - we find Luminae on E-Class to be much more noisy than M- and S- Class. I also find food prep on E-Class more banquet style pre-cooked vs cooked to order on M and S Class. I've have multiple dishes arrived over cooked or cold in the middle while plated on ultra hot plates.
  16. As many ofther questions. If one simply searches for RCL Stockholder Credit you will be directed to www.rclinvestor.com Under FAQ select HOW DO I REDEEM THIS BENEFIT I recently filed for two cruises and received credit within 3 days.
  17. Luminae will generally be able to seat you immediately. They do not have group tables so everyone will receive tables size they request. Possible wait time can occur when many people want to dine at the same time. This can occur after events like Senior Officers Greeting in Retreat. On these occasions you may be invited to return to Retreat and they will ring when table is available.
  18. You can not directly withdraw Non-Refundable Credit but you can withdraw Refundable Credit at the end of the cruise or else it goes back as a credit on your credit card. Many ships I've been on will not let you withdraw it until the last day before the cruise ends. Not sure why you would buy OBC - But it is available under Gifts. The reason for my quandary is that you can just spend what you want on your key card and it will be billed directly to your Credit Card at the end of the cruise.
  19. Thanks for another wonderful live post. Been enjoying following along. When's your next cruise?
  20. I've been an exclusive Celebrity Suite guest for the past 23 years. I will start by saying thank you for making changing one entree per day. I doubt this question will be answered. I will say that the menu is boring and worn out especially for a guest that travels 12 to 16 weeks a year or more. That as well many flip flops lately have forced us to start booking with other lines after all these years. One thing that attracted me to Cunard, Oceania, Silver Sea and Regent Seven Seas is the selection of as many as 20 entrees, starters and deserts as oppose to Celebrity's 4 Appetizers 5 Entrees and 3 deserts. Even the selection of Ice Cream is limited to boring Vanilla, Chocolate and Strawberry while the MDR even offers daily specials. To be honest MDR and BLU often are much better choices than those provided your Suite Passengers. Comparison - Celebrity Oceania
  21. I usually just put my phone on Airplane Mode but could probably turn of Roaming. As an aside I have forgotten to turn on Airplane mode a couple times and received an Alert from T-Mobile reminding me to put my phone on Airplane mode. Wasn't charged a penny ---thank goodness. T-Mobile recommends that when on a cruise and in a U.S. port you should turn off roaming to prevent your phone connecting to the ships Celluar at Sea while in the port. I've never done this but will keep in mind in the future.
  22. Even if you see a detailed list the chances are more than 50/50 will not be available. On one of my cruises I copied the complete wine list from Luminae and Fine Cut. I didn't want to post it as it was an Australian / New Zealand cruse where they have to include gratuities in the listed price thus also raising the Max Price to include. Unfortunately at least 50% of the menus were wrong.
  23. Also be aware that refurbishment doesn't necessarily mean a ship was revolutionized. About 1/2 the M and S Class either were not revolutionized or only partially revolutionized.
  24. I had to enter my password twice but on the second time it opened. Funny enough about 30 minutes later I went back and it didn't require me to sign in again. I was applying for my stockholders credit and need reservations numbers etc.
  25. Go to Google Maps and search Canada Place and then - Nearby - Flowers -
