We were there on Wonder two weeks ago in a suite, so we sat in that area. The food was horrible. Not even as good as coco cay, and that’s not that great either, but way better than what we were served in Labadee. I don’t like to be negative, but it was our first time in the suite area, and we were led to believe we would have gotten better food there. It was awful. Firstly, everything was in the open uncovered, so flies were all over all the food! The burgers were dry and cold! Not even warm. The only different food there was shrimp and it was out in the open, not kept cold and had flies all over it! I’m not exaggerating! Royal should be ashamed to serve that food and there were crew from the ship there including the suite lounge concierge. I’ll always make sure to go back to the ship for lunch when on Labadee

I’m not a spring chicken either, but I love coco cay because I love to put my toes in the sand, and enjoy a different view of the ocean. That’s the ONLY reason we get off the boat there.

They say spring but I need a backup since it’s not yet in service, but that would be an easy way to get back to Kissimmee

Next year we’ll need to get home in the Kissimmee area from a TA that will end up in Ft Lauderdale. On our TA this past April from Ft Lauderdale to Rome, we took an Amtrak train from Winter Haven to Ft Lauderdale. And got an Uber. We could do the same to get home, as long as we weren’t delayed by customs in getting off the ship. The train leaves around 11am or so. We we’re considering a car rental but have no idea how to do a one way rental, or who would be the best company for that. Maybe there a bus service? I have no idea. Does anyone have experience on how they got home after a cruise where they didn’t have their own car at the port? Thanks

That’s what we do. But the D+ is surf only and the P is surf &stream. I’m hoping the surf is decent with starlink. I usually get the WiFi pkg but not on a short trip

Do you have the free internet for D+ or did you buy a package? We’re on Jewel for the NYE cruise and plan to have us just use the free internet for this cruise. It’s only a 6 night trip and between us we get the 4 days of surf. We have TMobile and get data in Mexico, so we hoped that the surf with Starlink would work

We’re boarding Jewel Dec 31, but if that doesn’t qualify since it’s the last day of this year, then our next is 10 day on Serenade Feb 22 to Panama Canal

It’s very very foggy here in central Florida right now. I imagine it’s probably just as bad or worse at the port.

And that’s the reason they love working on cruises. I’ve heard that from many of the crew. They can’t make that kind of money at home

If someone removes the auto gratuity, but then gives cash tips to those that they received good service, how is that bad? The reasoning seems to be that the tips are shared with those in the back like the cooks, dishwashers, laundry crew, etc. So for example, when we stay in a hotel, or go to a restaurant, we don’t go into the kitchen and tip the dishwasher, or prep chef. We don’t go into the laundry of a hotel and tip those that wash the sheets and towels. Im curious how is it bad to remove the auto gratuity and instead tip Individually to those that deserve it? If they choose to share their tip with those that help them in the back, then should that be their responsibility?

We have always paid the auto gratuity (service charge) and always tip extra for bar drinks, room steward, servers, etc. If people remove the auto gratuity but then tip in cash to those that provide good service, how does that affect me or you? Maybe I’m missing something?

Calling sounds much easier than standing in the long line at GS on boarding day. I always wondered why that line was so long when we boarded. I don’t intend to remove Gratuties, I just was interested in how it was done.Thanks

In our experience servers that are confident, experienced and aggressive are the ones that get the food to the table the quickest. Some servers have told us what it’s like for them in the back getting the food, and if they don’t have the above qualities, then we know we may be waiting longer.

how do you opt out of auto gratuity?
