Firstly the dress code says wear what you are comfortable with in the day, so that includes jeans for both sexes.
My biased opinion , nothing to do with worldliness.
Jeans look nice if you are young or have still got your younger figure, up to a point
However , one great comedy sketch was the man from Levi approaching Jeremy Clarkson (lookalike) who at first thought he was offering money to advertise jeans, but he was offering money to stop wearing them.
