  1. You are so thoughtful. Can’t wait to meet you in November. I’ll treat you to a bread pudding on board! Mike
  2. I agree, that’s a loooong distance, especially with the high cost of diesel.
  3. I know many businesses that are impacted by supply chain issues. Personally we’ve experienced a shortage of parts for appliances, appliances, crop/garden seed and fertilizer, metal, new vehicles, ammunition, and occasionally some foods. Much of it is due to transportation issues (truck/ship), but some is lack of personnel to produce these items. If equipment breaks, it’s really difficult to find the parts necessary for repair. I’m not sure if that fits the definition of “supply chain issues”, but that’s what’s happening in southern Alberta, and likely extends to other areas. PS, redneckbob enjoy your cruise!
  4. There’s also a nice grocery store in the basement of El Corte Inglés off Plaça de Catalunya. I’ve bought “picnic” supplies, wine, crackers, cheese, nuts, etc. I may need to get chocolates too, thanks for the idea!
  5. I’m really enjoying your informative posts. Thank you. …when you log onto your Navigator, can you see meal offerings for the future, or only for the present day?
  6. We’re looking forward to hearing all about the Oosterdam. Have a fantastic time.
  7. Enjoy this special time. We’re looking forward to hearing details!
  8. That sure sounds like a way to ruin a tour, sad to say.
  9. We were on a walking tour, billed as “Strenuous”, in Valletta, Malta. I was disappointed at the people who signed up who were not capable of walking the distance required, especially as it was explained in the description. Obviously not everyone read the synopsis. The tour guide politely asked people to walk faster as the cathedral was going to close soon, and we had other places to see. The complaining of those with baby strollers, knee replacements, etc was annoying. I expect to see all the places promised in the tour description. Lesson learned: private tours.
  10. I’ve brought numerous pastries, fresh flowers, bags of spices, not sealed nor labeled, and never a word from ship’s security.
  11. My iPad and iPhone’s versions of navigator are working great, just tried a second ago.
  12. We appreciate you sharing your dining experience with us. Thank you.
  13. Oosterdam, Europe sailings, are showing menus exactly as the OP stated.
  14. Thanks for including your pictures with your observations I’m curious to know how crowded the lido is at breakfast/lunch.
  15. As a Canadian and a teacher, I’d say to try Soft Moc. They have stores, but ship to addresses too. Quark Shoes is another reputable store and they ship too.
  16. We were assigned a cabin in this zone, 4124 for November. I wonder if/when they would move us.
  17. I’m curious to know if the cruising bug bit you? You seem to have enjoyed your trip, hopefully this is the start of a new “hobby”. We are definitely enjoying your reports.
