  1. Yes, many of the Port Everglades terminals have facial recognition and this is expanding to more and more ports. I was surprised to even find it at the Mobile, AL port for a quick Carnival cruise I took this year. It was not in Tampa though earlier this month.
  2. The app is not even close to final until embarkation day and then the night of your embarkation day they push out a last update so you may even see some tweaks day 2. The MDR was open for all sea days on the Constellation when I was on her earlier this month.
  3. I can't remember the last time we had to do any customs forms coming back from a cruise. All they generally do is look at your passport (or you step up to a facial recognition screen) and wave you on. I don't even remember the last time they asked if I had anything to declare. So I don't see any reason why we would need to use the MPC.
  4. Deck 9 look to be fully covered with extra over-hang, so likely no sun at all. The one exception is that there might be a couple in a pocket of less overhang aft of the mid-ship elevators. The balcony is still fully covered on these, there just might not be extra over-hang. Deck 11 look to have very little cover so likely get a lot of sun. Here are photos of the Infinity from earlier this month but the Constellation will be the same. I've tried to put a red box approximately where the aqua class rooms would be.
  5. Here is a photo of the back of the Infinity from earlier this month which should be essentially the same as the Millennium. As you can see, decks 7-9 have a lot of cover. @39august Deck 11 Aqua class rooms look like they have very little cover.
  6. I am allergic to dairy and Celebrity has always handled my allergy really well and even did well in Tuscan earlier this month. That said, I chose not to join my husband and his Mom in Le Petit Chef. I’ve heard they can handle dietary restrictions but any alterations in the menu (including choosing options off the alternative menu) mean the animation doesn’t match so I didn’t feel I would get the full experience out of it (plus I was more than happy to enjoy a quiet meal by myself in Luminae with servers I knew would take good care of me).
  7. I was in the PH earlier this month on the Constellation. I was not given a liquor list at all so just asked for what I wanted based on the premium beverage package lists on Celebrity's website. The rum I got (Zacapa 23) isn't on that list nor were most of the beers I received (most of which were substitutions form the list I gave them, good substitutions fortunately). They should have no issue stocking hard seltzers if you ask.
  8. Are you going for the itinerary or for the ship or are both a priority? Mediterranean cruises can be so port heavy, the ship isn't always as important. If that is your priority, then I would focus on itinerary and how long you are in each port. If the ship experience is more important, the Enchanted Princess will have the smallest room of all three that will include a large closet (which is amazing for storage) but will make the room feel even smaller. And although the Infinity does have a Persian garden, it is completely enclosed and much smaller than anything on S class ships (I don't know on what ship you experienced Aqua class before). Both the Infinity and the Enchanted will have similar entertainment (trivia, shows, maybe a comedian, etc.) that will be fairly low key. The MSC Divina will probably be a lot more lively and have a lot more entertainment options but it will cater to people who speak many different languages, so I doubt there will be a comedian. The Yacht Club will be a true ship within a ship exclusive type experience that you won't find in Aqua Class on the Infinity or Enchanted. The Infinity is the oldest of the ships and has not been revolutionized but if she is anything like her sister the Constellation, she has been well maintained.
  9. Where are you seeing this? I can't find any similar language when I go to book select dining or in the reservations I have already made for our May Eclipse cruise.
  10. It was there for our sail away from Costa Maya last week. And actually, I'm pretty sure I saw it anytime during the cruise I looked out the front (such as from Reflections Lounge) so I don't think it was set up just for the sail away.
  11. You don’t already have gratuities included with your fare? Aqua Class usually includes. If not, in the past I have found it under manage reservation on the website where it lists the details of your cabin and fare. If you booked through a travel agent, the option may not be there as you may have to pay them through your travel agent.
  12. It's already showing on my Celebrity app for my May cruise. I just wish you could upgrade between drink packages from either the website or the app.
  13. One of my favorite spots to enjoy a glass of wine is that high top table near the bar. It is surrounded by wall to ceiling windows looking out on the promenade deck - great for people watching and for watching the ocean.
  14. If you download the app and log in, you should see your upcoming cruise. Under that cruise is a button for “dining” which includes both restaurant menus and bar menus.
  15. We will be on the Prima in about 25 days. It's a short cruise so I'm sure we will survive but I'm not excited about the fixed MDR menu that never changes. And reports are that they thought everyone would go to the Indulge Food Hall (food stall/truck style) that they may have mad the buffet too small. NCL plans to extend this fixed MDR menu to all ships, after trying it out on the Prima. I'm sure it is another cost saving measure for them and a way to get people to pay for specialty dining.
  16. I just unpacked ours this evening from our cruise last week. I agree with others that we get so much food on the cruise that these little chocolates are a great way to bring the cruise home with us and remind us of our cruise as we enjoy them at a time when we aren't so full.
  17. Yes, guest services (or your concierge if in a Suite) has a form you can fill out where you can indicate who you want to direct tips.
  18. In Luminae last week on the Constellation, they were more than happy to add scallops to my lobster tail dish without giving me an entire extra dish. And when I asked for a smaller version of a stir fry as my appetizer, that is exactly what I got. So it definitely can be done in Luminae and I think being willing to do this more often could save a lot in waste (which translates to food dollars).
  19. Deck 4, aft, port side. We had a great experience there last week. Blu is directly above it.
  20. Even though it is on board, it was actually listed as a shore excursion for my last cruise. I don’t yet see it offered for my May cruise, so I can’t share a screenshot.
  21. They asked for our documents in Tampa last week. It would be a huge oversight, if they forgot at embarkation. For itineraries that require a passport, that will be the only document they accept. For itineraries that accept an official birth certificate and photo ID, I’m sure they would accept those as well as a passport. You also show your documents to customs upon return, especially if traveling with a birth certificate. (For ports with facial recognition, those with passports may not actually present them when going through customs at disembarkation but not all ports have facial recognition yet.)
  22. It's listed under shore excursions in the cruise planner for sea days. This may vary from ship to ship, itinerary to itinerary but we booked ours in mid-May for an early November cruise. It was really interesting.
  23. I remember some cruise vLoggers last year being told they could not bring drinks into the pool unless they were in a closed tumbler. They stated they had never run into this on other Celebrity cruises so it seemed pretty isolated to that ship’s staff at the time.
  24. For the last few months, I have been using and really like a DJI OM 5 which is a combination selfie-stick and gimbal. As for an underwater housing, I just purchased a SeaLife SportDiver. I haven’t had a chance to use it yet though. It is quite pricey but I just wasn’t comfortable with the mixed reviews I saw on the cheaper waterproof cases and I plan to take this to the Galapagos next year so wanted something really reliable.
