We sailed on celebrity a lot when my son was young. He was happy with the pool and kids club. Younger kids are too little to do a lot of the activities on the larger Royal ships, so celebrity is a nice option.
Sometimes I’m offered the call back feature for a callback instead of holding. I wish they would offer it anytime the hold exceeds 10 minutes. It works well when available.
I didn’t notice this perk on the list for Al Bacio. Is this perk on all ships? Is it also for the elite level? I had assumed that you have to attend the elite breakfast in order to access the benefit.
We took our son on celebrity and royal when he was that age and he was fine. They both have a kids club for the younger kids. When the kids are old enough for water slides and flow riders, they would probably prefer royal.
This is what I purchased: iPhone to HDMI Adapter Compatible with iOS Devices for Projector/Monitor/TV [Apple MFi Certified], No Power Needed 1080P Screen Converter with Lightning Charging Port
There is an adapter you can buy on Amazon. I haven’t tested it on a ship, but it works great at home. I found out about it on these forums. You would need to take the adapter, an hdmi cable, and a universal remote with you. I’m not in my cabin much so I haven’t tried it on a ship yet. If you search the forums the info should come up.
Horseshoe bay. The shuttles at the port are $7 per person each way. It takes about 30-40 minutes to get there. They fill every seat on the shuttles. Im not exactly sure how many people they hold. Probably around 15. Tobacco bay is also an option. We took the ferry to St. George’s and then a cab to tobacco bay.
I usually have the classic or premium bev pkg. next cruise I didn’t purchase the all included. How much is a regular bottle/can of water and soda on the ship?
Yes. I’ve noticed a difference in what is being offered, but most of the offerings are still pretty good. I would give the edge to celebrity due to the ocean view cafe being better. I think the MDR offerings on royal and celebrity are pretty similar.
Yes, you can get non alcohol drinks. I don’t think the classic includes the premium non alcohol items like Red Bull, vitamin water, Evian, etc. But it includes virgin drinks, canned water, soda, and coffees and teas at the cafe.
I’m not sure. They have food at various dining areas that is included and full bar service. You use your sea pass card the same way you do on the ship. I’ve never paid for anything extra on the island, except tipping the staff when they moved lounges under the palm trees for me.
The tour guides will be standing on the pier with their signs as you exit the ship area. We used Lewis Foggo. Make a list of what you’d like to see and get a quote so you’ll be sure to see these places in the allotted time.
My favorite is captain Tasos. We never missed his morning report. He is hilarious. We were on board with captain Nigel last week too. I saw him around the ship a lot. I enjoyed his presentation.
