  1. I’ve had this on several ships when the seas were high. The creaking stopped when the ocean calmed down.
  2. I have the other tour booked. It’s pricy, but I guess there is a reason they are charging so much.
  3. I was wondering if anyone has done this excursion before and where they take you for the lobster lunch. It’s pretty pricy so I’m wondering if it’s worth it. ($284 pp for 5 hours).
  4. My last cruise I didn’t have any mystery charges, but I have in the past, and guest services took care of them.
  5. YouTube videos are also a good source for things to do.
  6. On my last cruise, my favorite meal in the main dining room was the flank steak with chimichurri sauce. The beef short ribs are also really good, but we were on a six night cruise, so they didn’t make it on the menu.
  7. Check the riverside hotel or renaissance marina.
  8. I didn’t miss the evening service at all, but we did request an extra supply of towels in case we needed them.
  9. Yes, their itineraries don’t look appealing and is the reason I haven’t already tried them. Maybe they will read these comments and make some changes 😉.
  10. I got this today too and was thinking the same thing. Smart of them. Competition is always good. May give them a try soon.
  11. It’s not what it was in the past, but I still enjoy it and have fun. I watch for reasonable prices and usually book what I feel is the best value. If I was booking a higher priced cabin, I might not feel like I was getting what I paid for.
  12. I thought it was excellent, but others with me said it was not worth the wait. It took about an hour for our sandwiches. We took a bus to the restaurant and got a ride back in a cab.
  13. We were there a few weeks ago. You used to be able to go to the beach to the right of the beach club, but this year, the tram driver said that it’s not public and that the public beach is the one next to the pier (which had a sewage odor). I don’t think the admission to the beach club is worth it. Next trip I’ll probably take a cab to town to check it out or stay on the ship. If you want to book a golf cart, I wouldn’t do it in advance. It looked like there were lots of golf carts. A lot of people post complaints about the rentals, so I would probably use a cab to get around. The island is very small.
  14. That is what we were told by the tram driver when we were there recently. I liked Bimini when we were there last year and could swim at the beach to the right of the beach club. To me, the beach club isn’t worth what they charge and the public beach smelled like sewage, so I’ll be staying on the ship in Bimini from now on.
  15. I decided to bring my old hiking shoes. It won’t matter if they get stained from the mud. If you google hopewell rocks, some websites will come up with recommendations.
  16. Grand Cayman does this too, but I think they only allow 1 bar open for alcohol on the whole ship.
  17. After my initial booking, I call the reservations number and have whoever answers help with my request.
  18. If you are coming in late, the holiday inn express in tukwila is nice. It has a free shuttle from the airport and it is near a lot of restaurants. There is a lot of highway noise on the highway side of the building.
  19. I wish it was all of the time. It’s a lot better than holding.
  20. I would wear flip flops to a beach but I don’t think they would be the greatest for walking on a muddy shore in cooler weather. Was thinking of maybe taking my crocks or a pair of shoes that need to be thrown out.
