  1. I was so grossed out by the smell that we got back on the ship. Who knows what is flowing into the water even if you can’t smell it.
  2. It’s probably a 20 minute walk to the end of the tram route. The town is in the opposite direction. We wanted to take a cab to check out the town, but there were none around so we returned to the ship.
  3. The tram doesn’t take you into the city. It takes you to a casino and to a beach club with an admission charge.
  4. We always wear clothes at orient bay. I haven’t been to the bar you mentioned, but when I’ve been to other bars along the beach in the past, most people were wearing clothes.
  5. What are the temps like on deck? Is it warm enough for shorts & a t shirt?
  6. We haven’t been to Orient Bay since pre lockdowns, but want to try it again in December. Has anyone been lately? Which beach bar do you recommend for food, drinks, chairs and fun?
  7. I’d save money and book equinox.
  8. I don’t get the shuttles either. They are slow loading and unloading. By the time the shuttle is ready to go, you could have been at the port and for a lower cost.
  9. I think so. I like having fast internet and being able to make wifi calls.
  10. When we were there in August, there was a sewage smell at the beach by the pier so we got back on the ship.
  11. I would drop bags, go to dining room, go to muster check in, lunch. We watch the muster video on our phone on the way to the port.
  12. Thanks for posting your experience! I will definitely do this on our next visit. Glad you had a nice day! We took a 1 hour cab tour. We visited the reversing falls, the tower, and a fort. The views were very scenic. The cost in US was very reasonable at $44 including a 20% tip.
  13. You can log off one device and then log on the other to switch back and forth.
  14. Something to consider about passports - if you have to unexpectedly disembark because of sickness, accident, or something else, it will be a hassle to get back into the US without a passport.
  15. I’m not in my cabin much and don’t usually turn on the tv. But, if I was sick, I would like the option to stream Netflix since the tv offerings aren’t very good.
  16. If you look at the 1st daily newsletter, it explains what this is. It’s a temporary charge on the first day to cover incidentals. It will reverse if there aren’t any charges. You’ll see this on all Royal and celebrity cruises from the US.
  17. Bimini is a very small island. The first time we were there, we went to the beach to the right of the resort and had fun. When we were there in august, the islanders pushed us to go to the resort or the beach next to the pier that smelled of sewage. We would have taken a cab into town to check it out, but cabs were not waiting at the end of the pier like other islands. Renting a golf cart is an option, but I’m not sure how reliable they would be. I’ve heard there is broken glass and trash on the remote beaches.
  18. I’d pick ascent. I like those ports better. I’ve been to Bimini twice and would probably stay on the ship if stopping there.
  19. So far haven’t had any changes on liberty of the seas.
  20. Wow! Never heard of this before. If people stop booking they will have to make changes if they want to stay in business.
  21. I used my credit card in Bermuda but we paid our taxi tour guide with cash.
