Don't care for curry except in Shepherd's Pie along with Chutney...mmmmm. But Tandoori chicken to die for! Don't think I'd pay for it though. I make my own grilled flat bread at home. As for Wonder's southern food, it's probably not what I make at all. I'm a Texan transplanted to Arkansas. Waffles do not belong with fried chicken, but on a plate at breakfast with butter and syrup only!!!! I was never so disappointed as with RCCL's "gloopy white gravy" when I first had it years ago... which should be sausage milk gravy on biscuits, Because their biscuits are sweet....itsh! Cracker Barrel is my fave...love their pot greens with ham bits and cornbread muffins. Can't wait to try the Mason Jar.

At least you have that option in a Sunset with sliding door. All others the Captain can lock if it's raining or very windy, etc. That is he main reason we opted to go aft.

We are so excited about our Asent 2025 we just booked-terrific pricing! After changing our cabins 3 times 🤪 We all decided we wanted a regular balcony based on many Youtube reviews from Apex...hence Sunset aft. We got the middle of deck 10- 10297 and 98, cannot wait, thx for all the pics ya'll!

Just booked Asent for April '25. Great pricing, snagged a middle of the aft cabin with a real balcony...counting the months! LOL

We never carry anything but my purse with drugs and jewelry and his backpack with laptop/camera, we check everything else and we've been able to limit it to 2 carry ons for every cruise. Some times Hubs will carry the 2 wine bottles. We travel light. Just waltz on, easy peasy.

The key is getting on that tram early, we are always out of the ship a few minutes after the go ashore announcement. The tram is waiting right at the ship to pick up peeps, if not just wait a minute. You will have your pick of the entire island if you make the effort. Club was lovely, but been there done that. Last time we got a prime spot lounger at the other end of the Oasis pool away from loud music perfect. Tram circles the island so you can go to any area on it.

I will never waste another penny on those drink robots! Nothing I got was palatable....they can't beat a real bartender!

We stayed in Harbor House and ate at Katies....EXCELLENT! We'd go again in a heartbeat. In fact may go again in Sept.

Tram can take you pretty much anywhere on the island. Your choice.

Don't get your dander up, since you live there I understand your desire to defend, but I'm a Texas native also and have been visiting Galveston for 60+ years. And that IS the way I feel. I'm not the only one who feels Galveston natives can be difficult, there are plenty who will echo my sentiment. I'm sure they are wonderful people and I understand the desire to protect ones' city from "tourists", but my original assessment stands, there is no reason to gouge folks for something they do not need. I still think the rail spur is the answer for fliers whomever would fund it, or the car rentals, I'm not buying that when people could rent a car for a day and turn it in the next morning for as little as $50 they do it all the time in Florida. I've done it myself (in Port Canaveral and Miami for as little as $39)... But it's no skin off my nose. I just stay in Texas City, drive in and park and I'm happy. No offense meant at all, just telling it like it is IMHO

The state of affairs surrounding trans to and from the island is really pathetic. I wrote letters to the city fathers about it. Galveston and maybe the cruise lines as well should partner with Houston and Hobby and IAH to provide shuttle service to a train terminal and provide a spur over to the island, the tracks are there already, never heard back from them. At the very least Hertz and companies could provide places on island to turn in rentals on the weekend! Nope! Something about Galveston and their restrictions! Those people are hard to work with. Many island hotels will charge you for 2 nights instead of the 1 you really need, that is called price gouging! Now live in Arkansas and we just drive down and park now. If we have to stay overnight, it's always on the mainland. Good luck!

My cruise bud has at least 20 points missing. Cruised back in the day with ex, then remarried and all the ones with her ex never showed up. She thinks they got it screwed up with the name change. She never kept any records so she had no proof even though she had dates of the cruises. After several tries with Corporate, she gave up, they are D+ now anyway.
