  1. We actually flew into NY JFK from Rome yesterday. As we made our way from terminal 4 to terminal 5 to catch our flight back to FL, we got a notice our plane was canceled. We were able to rebook a flight this morning getting the last 2 extra space seats and we got the last room at the TWA Hotel! A fun hotel! All this to say you were lucky to get onboard as it was definitely a mess out there.
  2. Unlimited reservations are available IF there is room. The other choice when tables are full is sometimes the sushi bar is available. In fact, that is our favorite seats in the house.
  3. Gosh darn, I didn’t realize I was so uncouth by eating in Tastes, Marketplace and the Bistro during the day. I obviously have a lot to learn! Thank you!
  4. Actually i just looked it up and some do have alcohol but the taste is similar to ginger ale, with or without the alcohol
  5. Ginger beer is not beer but is similar to ginger ale

    Serenity cabins

Double rooms might work for a single person, but the closet space and storage space is way too small for 2 people
  7. Actually if I recall correctly, and I’m sure someone will if I’m wrong, Regent used to have Canyon Ranch run their spas? Looking at oakridgers list it is most cruise lines
  8. Thank you. I amend my comments. Yes if you go off statins you can use Paxlovid. The issue is the many folks on anti arrhythmias and anti coagulants which for us older folks probably more than we like to acknowledge
  9. Understand all spas on every cruise ship are run by One World, formerly Steiner. They switch out the people in the spa at their whim so sometimes it’s good and other times not as good. The problem is there is no consistency with staffing because of that
  10. If you are on any statins or heart meds, you can’t take Paxlovid. Just an FYI. So sorry you had that negative experience with the Dr but happy you had at least 2 good days. Hope you’re feeling better’s now and will give Crystal another try

    White Night

If you don’t wear white, no one is going to kick you out. It’s optional and a fun evening. They also serve white drinks and pass along white mini desserts
  12. And I’m sure we could pick and choose other cruises that didn’t increase much. Many times we can choose numbers to make our point
  13. And they just posted they have no idea if it is happening on Crystal or any other line. This after implying it didn’t happen on the other lines.
  14. No I’m just responding to Ak’s comment about how they FEEL those of us with more cruises are getting special perks like special time slots or spaces on sold out tours and showing how it’s not the case
  15. I took a photo of my barcode from the email they sent us
  16. I’ve been on SB. While it’s a good line, it doesn’t compare to Crystal.
  17. I have 15 cruises on Crystal, know much of the crew and they know me by name. I can assure you i have never gotten a space in a sold out tour or a better table in the restaurant. And the only reason we ever get our time slot in the specialty restaurant is because we tend to eat late, when it’s less crowded. I was on SS a year ago and it was very obvious who got treated special. In fact once we wound up becoming friends with a couple who sailed 100’s of nights on SS (since we got to know them on a tour on turn around day) all of a sudden we were getting more preferential treatment and a much better location in the main dining room with our friends waiter, etc.
  18. Wonderful review and pretty much what we experienced on the inaugural cruise.
  19. The price listed on the website for the 20 day cruise is $9100. That is the higher price versus the forward cabins which are listed at $8,500. That is what I was responding about. 🙂
  20. Make sure to take a screen shot before it possibly changes.
  21. Why would the price wind up being more than what's shown on the website for the same room? That makes no sense.

    Covid Policy

I think it's just the way things are nowadays all over.
  23. Was on the inaugural Serenity cruise. Liked: The new Bistro Disliked: No more being able to go to the specialty restaurants whenever there is room if in an Aquamarine or Sapphire cabin. I can understand about the Aquamarine now, but Sapphire should still have that privilege. I have more for each but since you only asked for 1 each, here it is.
