  1. Let me see if I've got this right: pay hundreds if not thousands for a cruise voyage and $8 breaks the bank. Or is it like the vastly wealthy who shoplift for thrills?? I'd pour their champagne out to use the bottle as a vase 😁 and I buy Princess Savers and carry on 1-2 bottles wine (lasts me 7-10 days). But I get your point. Still that's a lot of work to sneak it on just to avoid an $8-12 charge. Fill bottle / get wine skin so it doesn't leak in flight or car / is it worth the savings?? Or am I just an obnoxious rule follower? Yes. I did anyway. I told them I had 2 bottles and they waved me on. Apparently didn't really care in Fort Lauderdale or SF about just 2 (not B2Bs)
  2. I hope to post tomorrow am. I have no idea why I can maintain on a cruise but always gain for a few weeks once back. Waist up 3" since 4/30/22. But maybe because it came on fast it'll correct fast??
  3. Who on earth would open a bottle of wine, pour it out, refill it with other wine or alcohol just to sneak it on in this day of Princess plus & premier?? Found this: I consider that quite reasonable. Why would I bother to bring water in paper??
  4. Poor staffing. I'd put that on the post cruise survey.
  5. I've never seen races on a ship. Mostly football (soccer version), basketball, some rugby Adding: hockey, sometimes American football on US voyages
  6. Yes. Several of us said that to a lady who went to the front of the Elites / Suites line!! We were all Elites and/or Suites patiently waiting in line and we only asked her to get at the back of the Elite Suite line So if that was you on the Ruby Princess 4/23/22-4/30/22, the guy in front of me was in a S1 with 50 cruises and a malfunctioning medallion, I was just a lowly 37 history passenger, the one behind me just wanted info on Club Class (I shared what I knew and he left). Perhaps we shouldn't have said it almost in unison but ES do line up as well. Just on the right side facing the desk
  7. Thats why I told someone embarking in September and concerned about regs to look in September. I'm cruising again June 26, 2022 and I'm looking June 24th. Got caught last time when I looked 3 days before and had to redo my antigen test Can't go back on my phone. Once Princess updates health protocols that's all I see.
  8. Yep. That was yesterday. Now there's a May 17th update. Section deleted for UK & Europe. Still there for US / Canada and Australia
  9. I'm on a smartphone and these were updated by princess as recently as May 11, 2022. Definitely not old info
  10. Exactly!! Son, grandson, granddaughter all got it right after I got home from my last cruise. I was the shopper / caretaker / didn't stay away from any of them or mask. I never got it (multiple negative antigen tests) I wonder how many of us pack an antigen test kit on a cruise (I'll notify ship only if positive).
  11. Info in the Passenger Contract: https://www.princess.com/legal/passage_contract/pcl.html
  12. I do tip. Most of us do it in the auto gratuity which now fortinately cannot be removed for all those who buy the plus or premier pkg. The OP was asking about in addition to that.
  13. USA & Canada: https://www.princess.com/plan/cruise-with-confidence/cruise-health/frequently-asked-questions/us-cruises/ UK: https://www.princess.com/plan/cruise-with-confidence/cruise-health/frequently-asked-questions/uk-southampton-cruises/ Europe: https://www.princess.com/plan/cruise-with-confidence/cruise-health/frequently-asked-questions/eu-cruises/ Australia: https://www.princess.com/plan/cruise-with-confidence/cruise-health/frequently-asked-questions/au-cruises/
  14. Can we get back on track?? Per Princess (their ship / their rules):: Cruises from USA & Canada (updated May 10th): Cruises from UK is eerily the same (updated May 11th): And once again under cruises from Europe (updated May 11th): and finally Australia has something a little different (updated May 6th): you may not like it & you may view it as unnecessary but this is what the last updates say. So unless there's a more recent update not available on the drone passengers are supposed to be tested. Minor inconvenience
  15. I think it's because minimum wage varies so much in the US. All the way from $7.25 hr (federal) - $15 hr (here). No tipping zones add up to $5 an hour + healthcare.
  16. You should try the Chocolate Block from South Africa. So good (even though it is a blend)
  17. Not at all afraid! I normally do 7 day cruises, they get a paycheck as well so it's not like some states/areas that don't pay a living wage. This is just supplemental income Me either. And I LOVE those no tipping zones in SF Bay Area where they just up the hourly wage & hours so people aren't dependent on 'charitable tips' to cover rent / food / utilities. Not a competition. I'm the cheap one who would prefer it just get added into their salary or have it be guaranteed ..... oh they did that with Princess Plus and Premier 😉
  18. Just a few issues with it: 1. Too far from Vines so no before dinner drink 2. Too far from Princess theater for those times I see a production show before dinner (racing at 8:20 to get there then I either eat in a hurry or shut the place down). 3. For someone who eats at 5 & sees thec1st show, skip dessert. You won't have time. I ate with friends once at 5pm / April 24, 2022 and I had only my salad by 7pm. 4. No space to cue up (doesn't actually affect me as I eat 7 or later 5. Cannot get a 2 top in a quiet area. I have walked out w/o eating / ordering if the area is too noisy 6. More susceptible to rocking I got the same table almost every night in DaVinci -- once I had to eat at the next table over -- once in the 'private' secluded area behind a wall.
  19. I just did it last Monday by masking my account number and sending only the section showing CC shares, my name, and current date. I did send their form but I hear others are just sending booking #, sail date, & ship. Waiting for it to be processed
  20. I fully recognize that it also depends on the individual's BMI but I still say "want more than 10? Buy Princess Premier"
  21. Or not worry about it bc they'll retake the pic on boarding if they don't like it.
  22. Once you get off the tender turn left for the historical area, straight ahead for visitors center, and turn right for a beautiful walk along the coast in an area filled with wildlife (at least it was in 2018). Area is so small you can easily do it all in 1 day. Don't forget to stay for the skit!!
