  1. I order water ahead of time (12 bottles for $7, it'll be in the room) & call room service upon boarding to trade minibar for coffees. Just watch the account for a few days and get charges, if any, removed by calling PSD. No need to stand in line & faster than texting
  2. Bc some use them for sunbathing Is there an issue with a shortage of buffet chairs? Personally don't know as I've only been to the buffet once & that was to get an orange spice tea bag. No seating needed / wanted. I don't mind people lingering in the piazza but do mind them moving sh!! when the person is momentarily gone / saving a spot at 1pm for music at 4pm by leaving a book there I disagree with the thought that the purpose of the chair is to hold stuff.
  3. My CVP added it to 3 of my 4 bookings & lowered the price on those. 4th one left alone as it is 2024 & significantly less than anything out there (redeployment) So it's not new bookings only
  4. I cruise 12/8/22-12/18/22. I want to spend it on Sanctuary and SD.
  5. Well I can report back in December (6 weeks) but not before
  6. I was able to get it on the previous 6 cruises but not this upcoming one. In fact OM Help Desk told me to just ignore that step.
  7. When I compare these prices to last year, all 4 of my upcoming cruises are a lot lot lower. Thinking of finding yet another for next summer but I want it out of my home port. Airfares are ridiculous FWIW solo cruiser only booking balconies.
  8. Izena, you've really figured out this maintenance thing!! Jan, just 7 to go! Can they prescribe something to help with the radiation burns? I'm up 1/2" but according to the scale there's no change. Oh yeah. 3 mini chocolate 3 Musketeers bars. Darn
  9. If I cannot use it for specialty dining & bar tab my decision on refaring after final payment date is a lot easier. If fare drops 190+ then I'll gladly trade in my 200 Excursion Credit OBC
  10. I broke into the Halloween candy but i have an excuse I am cleaning up the kitchen after Anna set it on fire last night. She was making jambalaya as her class assignment after I went to bed and there was evidently a flash oil fire. She put it out but there's smoke damage all over the place. Not enough to notify the insurance company, but still a huge mess. So I'm burning off those calories scrubbing cupboards, getting them ready to refinish, washing everything (counters, walls, ceiling). Ugh 6 weeks to my next cruise .... cannot come soon enough. Yes, izena, we are lucky to have them. Hi, Susan. I looked at your signature and your travels are amazing!! Katie, Jan, Belle, (anyone seen Jo?) How's your week going?
  11. This excursion credit is on my next 3 cruises (12/8/22, 4/16/23, 11/23/23) but not the 4th (4/6/24).
  12. On the 1st 2 cruises after restart (2021) there was a $5 table in one of the shops selling off 2020 merchandise. But the only thing recently was 1 rack in a shop dumping chiffon cover-ups
  13. I can't answer for right now but they had the full menu September 2 - 17, 2022. That's the most recent info that I've got. Word of warning, that apple tart is HUGE. I could only finish 1/2 and I skipped the minestrone. Just salad, eggplant, dessert. Another time I did have pizza then tiramisu so they still had that too. I did not have ravioli
  14. What about calling the billing office at 1-480-870-1580 and asking them 1st?? Surely they can see billed for 6 FCD / received 4 FCD I called yesterday for a weird credit hanging out there and she bumped it up to be processed. Said 5 days but account is correct today. Credit should show tomorrow
  15. No Sabatinis charges (was $25, not positive now) while Gigis (Alfredos on older ships, same menu) is free. It's billed as a pizzeria but it has several salads, appetizers, minestrone, 2 pasta (non pizza) hot main courses, and 2 desserts. I prefer the apple torte with gelato but others prefer the tiramisu. It's just 4 courses (i guess 5 if you get the appetizer too) while Sabatinis is 5 courses. I cannot eat it all anyway
  16. Book on a port day .... I've only had 1 formal (aka Dress to Impress) night on a port day in 41 cruises. Want Italian? Love Alfredos (aka Gigis). Minestrone, salad, eggplant roll up, tiramisu, wine = $0. But FWIW specialty places (ex Salty Dog Gastropub and Bistro Sur la Mer are always full.
  17. Food is subjective. I'm a vegetarian (not pescatarian) who hates spicey and am allergic to black pepper. I think the food is wonderful. Flavorful without burning my throat, good variety, great vegan menu (I add cheese).
  18. That's disappointing. As a strict vegetarian I'll go to Gigis for pasta. There's not enough in any of the other specialty restaurants that entices me
  19. Thx. Looking again for a brand I recognize. .. Found some. Great that its within walking distance
  20. National Express Coach. .... fast and inexpensive https://www.nationalexpress.com/en
  21. Just finished checking hotels and this area is significantly less than Fort Lauderdale so I guess I'll uber or bus somewhere for the day (even less factoring uber to / from publix). @april_4_us did you notice a subway? That's my version of fast food. And I can get snacks at Ross.
  22. Thanks. Will check with them re: shuttle to Port Sprouts doesn't carry regular wine according to website. But at least uber is cheaper than checking luggage ($70 for 3 legs round trip). Looks like I'm doing that Anyway its not for a few more weeks so maybe I'll just change hotels. I'd be there all day
  23. SpringHill Suites Marriott Ft Lauderdale Airport/Cruise Port is at 151 SW18TH St, Dania Beach. Not really in Fort Lauderdale. I'll googling how I can get to the pier / publix. I will need to pick up wine, flowers for the ship, and snacks. Has anyone been to their pier??
