  1. So then frustration at Princess that it is taking a long time to get a check covering the unused casino bank is misdirected as Princess is not involved?
  2. So I'm looking for impressions of this specialty restaurant. Looks like they've got some pretty good vegetarian options. Not as great as Alfredos / Gigis but still pretty good. > have you eaten there > general vibe (jeans ok?) > what's playing on the TV (sports?)
  3. Does the casino check come from Princess Bottomline or from the casino?? I guess I'm trying to figure out if the casino is a separate vendor on the ships
  4. Who's got a voyage with excursion credit before my Dec 8, 2022 cruise? My most expensive excursion = $ $109.95. So yeah, I'm 1/2 covered (solos get 200 OBC)
  5. Rewritten to get a response other than "We regret ... " which is a kiss-off. I hope you're on the mend. So is this why they are trying to lower the pax average age as those who are older are more likely to have co-morbilities (age, weight, other health concerns)?
  6. This makes sense because they do not have your medical records and do not know how you might react to various medications. Doesn't Paxlovid require script?? Can you imagine the medical malpractice lawsuit if the steward or another non medical person gave someone paxlovid and there was an adverse reaction? (Practicing medicine w/o livense)
  7. This is alarming. There should be a pdf document that can be transmitted via app followed up by written info slid under the door I would hope NOT as your steward also enters other rooms. Its the same as quarantine on land here. Does Canada have different rules? This 'suggestion' should be the gist of your email as it would benefit others .... again via pdf & written slid under door And this is why I might not let Princess know if positive. I can quarantine & be out of room away from others for 15 minutes while steward is in room (I put all trash in cans & make my own bed anyway). We all know Covid doesn't live on surfaces
  8. Order on the medallion? I have to order tea at the counter as I want the pot
  9. Welcome @KatieDub! Happy Birthday @Belle 🎁 @Izenathose are some inclines!! Personally hate inclines. The dog group wants to climb every Saturday & Sunday now so I guess I'm skipping those days. I don't mind the 4 mile RT Black Diamond loop but won't do the 4m to the cross as it's straight up then down very little flat. I'm weird. Won't do a route unless it's fun. I've got nothing to prove Personally was having a good week then bought a container (1.5qt) of ice cream. Gone in 2 days.
  10. Then I'm not interested. But it's good that you found entertainment that you enjoy
  11. I was in Discovery E412. Great room but definitely obstructed looking down
  12. Nothing wrong with: to eat it in the chair. Or take a quick dip and be right back. Should be able to do that in 20 minutes. The problem is getting up, going to the buffet, eating there and still reserving the chair.
  13. On 1 ship there was a prize for 1 person who visited all bars on s poker run. Also tickets are given for game prizes which are then turned in and you pick what you want --- win more games / get more tickets / get better prize. I got a ripstop backpack for 1 game (and gave it to my 16F granddaughter)
  14. Apples to turnips Agreed comparing a cruise ship where I'm buying lodgings with in & out privileges similar to a hotel with a ballpark where I cannot enter, leave, reenter, leave over & over again is comparing apples (hotel & ship) to turnips (ballpark)
  15. Sounds like another cruiser who discovered the medallion isn't as awful as those who haven't cruised with it state 🤔 Which is why I always try to find out if those posting opinions have actually personally cruised / experienced issues
  16. When I'm at Starbucks or my local patisserie I leave my stuff, go to the counter, maybe restroom. and it's not touched. So, yeah, I expect the same on a ship. But I have a small mesh bag that I hook to my belt loop when off the ship (hate purses) so I'll leave that. Thanks for the tip @PescadoAmarillo. Now off to Ace Hardware to get a better clip.
  17. I have cruised on Carnival (with kids) but now Princess. Both divisions in Carnival Corp
  18. Here in Canada you can't even get PCR unless you are in care of old people, at least it was like that, maybe not even that anymore. Home tests don't work properly, we learned it last year on our family, so we don't even bother to do them. As you said if we get sick we just put on a mask but definitely not reporting anything. Not to get off into the weeds but the saliva test is supposed to be as accurate as the PCR. We're operating on the thought that they are. Still not reporting. Will mask up
  19. Dtr works in home heath, so she tests Sis has a new granddaughter, so she tests I'm carrying tests on my cruises but IDK if I'd tell anyone if I pop positive. I can just shelter in place & on the balcony & mask while getting off. I pick my room bc I like that balcony
  20. Why couldn't they just put them off at the next port and let them find their own way home? Could be interesting if that port was not in their home country & they were cruising under WHTI (birth cert instead of passport) I'm not sympathetic
  21. It's fortified wine. Thought that couldn't be brought onboard. I'm trying
  22. Good idea!!!! I'll try that in December (I once left my phone and had to retrieve it from PSD)
  23. What happens to wine or alcohol that they take from you in port?? I like a glass of tawny port at night. I don't like what Princess offers. So I'm tempted to try to carryon. If confiscated I'm okay with getting it back at disembarkation. But as many of us know, 'that' desk is often unmanned in fact I've carried 2 bottles on initially and recently a 3rd mid cruise. That's why I'm thinking of risking it Leave it with me -- fine Take it from me & return at the end -- fine Take it & not return it -- not happy but, oh well, good try
