  1. I doubt it will be a huge difference as most 16/17 years old will probably pass for 18 anyways. It's the 13 & 14 year olds that look 16 but act like a 9 year old that will be most affected.
  2. So glad you answered. I thought about it but then I didn't want to become the creepy guy. 😀😀 Depends on how you access CC. From my Windows laptop using Firefox, yes you see all that info. But from my Android phone using Google Chrome, the post count & join date are not there. Not sure why. See screen shot.
  3. Some tests kits have received an expiration date extension from the FDA, a few of them up to 15 months past the printed expiration date on the box. Scroll down until you find the manufacture & test name. That'll link you to a PDF file containing a very extensive list of various lot numbers. https://www.fda.gov/medical-devices/coronavirus-covid-19-and-medical-devices/home-otc-covid-19-diagnostic-tests#list I'd probably go to medical for an up-to-date test, just seems easier and safer.
  4. My father-in-law always warned me never to put anything in the hotel room safe as he felt every hotel employee knew how to bypass the lock & open them. Not to mention some of the older ones felt so flimsy & rickety that they could be pried open. Having said that, I always use the hotel room safe for valuables. Not sure what I'd do with a passport. Losing that is far more inconvenient that a few hundred dollars.
  5. I use a knife to cut the long strands, hoping that nobody will notice and if they do, I ignore the pitiful, disapproving glances, the shaking of heads and the muttering of "Is that sad sack for real"? 😳
  6. As much as I would have loved to see NYC thru your eyes, I totally understand why you will not be writing about it. I'm sure you didn't get to enjoy it as much as you would've liked with the storms brewing.
  7. Count me in as a tag along too! The way @singinalot writes her trip reports, at time I actually feel like I'm tagging along with her and Nate. At a dinner over the weekend, conversation turned to hot air ballooning and I so wanted to tell the story about the time I work up in Turkey watching the balloons rise all around me. Which of course, I only experienced here on CC.🙂
  8. Thank you, I didn't know about the cliff collapse. It's a shame because I felt so much of the show was centered around those cliffs. I did find a few videos online & apparently these collapses are not uncommon. Season 1 was the best season, the others were pretty good as well but didn't quite leave up to my lofty expectations set Season 1. Then again, I watch the last 2 over a weekend just before the show left Netflix so perhaps it was too much viewing in too little time. I did a search and the show is currently available for purchase on Amazon Prime, at least in the USA.
  9. The first photo of the iceberg reminds me of the picture of the iceberg that is thought to have sunk the Titanic. Hope you paid attention during e-muster. 😄
  10. I love my dentist. In fact, even though I moved out of Rockland County almost 30 years ago, I still make the 1 hour drive each way to her office, probably passing 30 other dentist offices along the way. I loved her predecessor as week. He was part of a 2 man practice. For some reason, he reminded me of Jay Leno, very personable, likable and funny but not annoyingly so. He had a very conservative approach to his treatments - "if it ain't broke, you're not in pain so don't fix it unless you really want me to fix it for your peace of mind". When he retired a few years ago, he and his business partner spent a year interviewing dozens of replacements until they found someone that had the "right fit." A much younger and much prettier female version of himself. She kept his entire staff on & retained almost all of his patients even though they gave every patient the opportunity to find a new dentist. I'm so glad the hygienist stayed on as well. I could have her clean my teeth every other week if it were an option. She's that good.
  11. I have not but I do have a habit of "cracking" my jaw, much like one would "crack" their knuckles. I was told to knock it off as it could lead to TMJ. Oh, and I should use a night guard as well since I grind my teeth at night. So I'm told.
  12. That was the deal my wife & I had when we got married. Although your son-in-law definitely planned a much better honeymoon. The pictures you've been posting are stunning, just gorgeous.
  13. On the Bella thread, someone had posted pictures of sample World Cruise menus a few weeks ago. Looked like there were several new additions that are not part of the normal cruise menu. I wonder if the "new" additions will be rotated in & out depending on the region of the world they are sailing. Plus, with 150 mostly unique port of calls, there may be plenty of in-port dining. Granted, by missing meals on the ship you are not getting the full value of the the cruise but that might not be a concern to some. But yeah, I agree with you. Even with the rotating menu, I'd get bored after while. Sometimes I like to dine with a can of Campbells Chunky Soup and Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwich while binging Netflix from my recliner, with microwave popcorn (Xtra Butter!) for dessert. Classy, I know! I'd prefer Freedom class or larger myself, just for the variety of stuff on the ship. But I guess getting into most of those ports require a smaller ship. Plus, maybe the capacity of a larger ship is not needed. Does anyone know if the cruise is sold out?
  14. All this Christmas talk & I'm trying to squeeze out every last warm summer day at the beach. 😃 Three weeks ago, this beach would have been so crowded, you wouldn't be able to see a speck of sand. September is my favorite summer month - temperatures are still warm, ocean water is at it's warmest, no humidity, no bugs & no crowds. Oh, and no bumper-to-bumper traffic to and from the beach and easy parking. Fingers-crossed I can get a couple more beach days in before the real summer ends. I thought this sign was a joke but after a little research, sea turtles do visit Long Island in the summer months to lay eggs, primary in the bay areas, before migrating south in November.
  15. I haven't posted a picture of Lenoard in awhile. I'm not sure what's going on here, either striking a pose for the cover of Cat Vogue or maybe his profile picture for Cat Tinder?
  16. So sorry for your loss. 😥 As you are a great lover of animals, I have no doubt he lived a happy & healthy life that you provided for him. Hope this comforts you.
  17. Average speed in NYC is 12 mph, worst in the country. And no doubt Manhattan is bringing down that average. https://nypost.com/2023/03/13/nyc-drivers-travel-just-12-mph-during-rush-hour/
