Interested if anyone has tried this. I was thinking about having chops lunch twice, once with steak and once with salmon. I know people say you can have multiple appetizers and sides but i don’t like to overeat.
I'm wondering how much crowding in ports should dictate what cruise you go on. I'm booked on the June 25 Brilliance of the Seas and the ports are quite busy 7 for Ketchikan and 5 for Juneau, Sitka is OK. The other cruise i was thinking of was the crown princess on May 23 which has 2 in Juneau and Ketchikan and 3 in Skagway. 0 in icy strait!
The reason i booked the Brilliance of the Seas is its a multi glacier cruise that goes to Hubbard and Tracy Arm. Interior cabins are also sold out on Brilliance so it will be a busy ship. I liked it goes to sitka. On the other hand the crown princess is a 10 day cruise that goes to Hubbard and Sitka but also Icy strait and skagway
I guess i'm thinking out loud here. I am taking excursions in Juneau and Ketchikan so maybe that will help with crowding. I've been to Alaska in September before and i guess i didn't think through how busy the summer would be.
I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. I thought there may be a thanksgiving sale and they usually post new sales midnight eastern 9 pacific.
Sales on excursions on my cruise are up to 30% off. One day there was a flash sale and they were all 35% off (and yes they were. I know the prices.) So depending on your ship i wouldn’t call it nothing, still worth a look.
I’m just glad they announced the flash sale (for me it was 35% off excursions for a day.) I’ll definitely pay attention to sales though 90% of time nothing changes.
Do you think if it sale is for today only it means it ends midnight eastern 9 pacific? I want to be able to at least give a little thought to excursions but i don’t want the sale to end.
Thanks. I think i’d only have about an hour to spend if i want to leave an hour to get to the cruise ship. Is there any particularly nice store there? Its hard when you have to make decisions about excursions so far in advance due to black friday sales.
Is the raptor center worth seeing? I’m booked on an excursion that goes on a sitka sound cruise, fortress of the bear and raptor center but the problem is i have barely time in town. Not sure whether to scale it back and just go on the cruise so i have more time in town. I am going on the bering fishetmans tours so would see eagles then.
Crews news, what do you think of silver king lodge vs. the bering sea fisherman’s tour? I’m able to get a good price on the bering tour due to a black friday special and wondering which one to do. Also i’m going on the sitka one you mentioned as that was a good price.
